You know teddy, those videos, you posted were pretty cool, does not look to bad, it does look like they are having fun. And I never dance, like damn near never, so maybe you could say that I don't know what I am talking about, but it looks like some shit people would do on roller blades. Im just glad that everyone isn't moonwalking all over the fuckin place and doing Michale Jackson stuff all the time. I thought for sure that after he passed, that is all you would see, but nope all I see are people jerkin. lol.

wow i havent been on zilvia in a couple of days and this is the first thread i see on off topic.

its pretty lame watching these videos and listening to the music thats being played. Along with people who are defending it, as if there was never anything like this before. I cant seem to comprehend how this stupid dance and song became so trendy.

First off none of those moves that those kids are doing are original, let alone the music. the songs in those videos sound just like Bay Area music back in the early 2000s. pretty sad because no one made use of sounds and instruments like the bay did. n now listen to all these biter ass garbage artist like the new boys. i can find one of my ipods from high school, or some old ass mixtapes and will hear tons of songs just like those. but better, no to mention they came out years ago.

the dancing btw sucks, seeing as most of their combinations are played out and lack originality. wanna see some familiar moves? go peep Turfin' or Giggin'. see how we do things in the bay...well use to. n you will probably notice in some of the videos how they dress total opposite of this "jerking apparrel." Also seeing most of the moves they pull off are lame, because ive seen them done thousands of times. . n for some reason everyone got all hyped about this stupid you're a jerk song.

That's funny. Being as how I'm ALL over the bay area. And this past week, when they payed Jerk, multiple people knew the dance as well as how to do it. This was at multiple clubs and people all ages were doing it.

I could care less if I didn't like it just as much as I do. When I go out, it's to have fun most of the time. One has fun by doing them self.

I don't go clubbing nor throw events just so people can cry and not have fun.

well it is a trendy as shit right now. whether you're into it or not you've heard the song before. i know people do it everywhere, and im not "all over the bay". i didnt say there was anything wrong with people doing it for fun or any of that shit. i was just talking about how un original and whack this whole "jerking" shit is.

exactly. i was walking down powell st. on my lunch break and i looked inside Blondies Pizza and saw 2 dudes jerking( note: it was hella busy and packed with people waiting to get their food). no one wants to see to idiots doing another form of the running man while they're waiting to order a slice of pizza. especially in a small ass place like that.

all i could do is walk by and shake my head in disappointment.

its funny seeing dudes who, not even a year ago would make fun of people wearing skinny jeans. n now look, EVERYONE wears them now. its funny i can almost predict what certain kids are going to find appealing in my store.

This is true! Most dances are started by 'famous' entertainers, or at least brought out of obscurity by them (I'm sure C-walkin was around before the LBC rappers started doin it, but I sure hadn't seen it, etc)...

... then came Soulja Boy. Fuck, the dance was whatever, but I hated him, and the fact that he's some high school sophmore lol. NOT feelin it.

Jerkin's kinda the same thing. I'll watch while all the high school kids get into it, but I'm sure as hell not staying up late at home bumpin New Boyz in front of a mirror with my little brother's jeans on.

OH MY GOD DUDE!!! I dropped my little brother off at junior high, and almost pee'd my pants I was laughing so hard. All I seen was purple, red, turqoise, and green pants, some checkered, some not. and big colorfull shoes. I told him, "if you buy some of those pants, your walkin to school."
