Nothing is new in this day and age. Trends always get recycled over time. But since it's a new generation, to them it will be a "new" thing.

There are new things all the time.

Its laziness and lack of mettle and tenacity. That is the reason that your generation is just copying things.
No other generation for hundreds of years has straight copied the music style, art and dress like the "youtube" generation.
Even the jerk is just the running man backwards.
(At least its a little better then "crumpin")

Kinda sad that a steady progression of the arts and discoveries of mankind has somehow come to a halt.

Maybe people should become more active in going against the grain, like feminest, hippies and punks.

But then you would have to have confidence in yourself, what you believe, and in your actions.

I figure that there will be a movement soon that will open minds to new things. Otherwise society has halted in its progressive path that has been going since a monkey walked on 2 feet.

I also found going against the grain makes you a much more interesting person later in life.
People that blindly follow trends never seem to have great stories and adventures.(for the most part)

so have some fun, but get some backbone as well and stop being a tool.
