I'm super overwhelmed right now to say the least. I'll type more later when I can get my thoughts together but to make a long story short, my stepmother is pregnant.

My parents split a few years back and my Dad remarried a few months ago.

He's 54, she's like 30 something.

I turn 25 this year....

It might not be strange to some of you that there's such a large age gap, but growing up in a somewhat traditional Vietnamese family this is completely foreign to me.

Discuss.

My sister and I are only 6 years apart.

My mother and her only sister, are 21 years apart.

Between all 4 of my kids, there are only 4 1/2 years.

Full brothers, and yeah we are pretty close. I was never really too much of a pest to him because by the time I was an annoying little asshole he was already out of the house. It's always been a pretty mature relationship as far as I can remember. None of the fighting that seems to go on between siblings that only have a few years between them. Plus, he has an awesome house near the beach which I get to house sit this weekend.

My other brother is 10 years older than me, so it's kind of the same story but he lived at home a lot longer.

My mom is 8 years older than her younger brother and was 8 younger than her older, for a 16 year bridge between her brothers.
I do not know ANYONE with a gap larger than that

My older brother and I are 19 years apart I'm 20 and he's 39 with a 7y/o kid. He says my parents were so happy to get him out of the house that I ended up happening 9 months after his graduation. We are pretty close but then again he wasn't there for the usual annoying little brother stuff.

Now if you will excuse me I'm going to go shoot myself in the face for thinking about my own conception.

My girlfriend is 20, and her oldest brother is 39. Her youngest brother is 34 (I think), and really they seem more like uncles than brothers. They all have 4-7 year old kids.

wow that is pretty odd, i never met my pops new wife *he lives out of state* but he flew to the Philippines and brung some chick back, i can imagine shes probably young too lol.

3 years and some months between my older brother and I.

7 years and some months between my younger brother and I.

Lots of fighting between the older bro and myself.

Barely any with the little bro.

I've always thought of having kids fairly close together. Maybe 2-3 years between each one.(We only want 2 kids minimum. 3 kids max.)

Big gaps between kids never happened in all of my family.

Dad's parents had 14 kids.

Mom's parents had 9 kids.

All born about a year apart.

Haha.

My Oldest sister is around 11 years older than me and my brother is 9 years. it goes down every couple of years till it gets to me. Youngest of 5.

Aya's Mother is exactly 8 years older than me. Go figure that shit out. Oh and Aya is 32.

my oldest brother is 10 years older then me, he lived with us till he was 21 and he was hardly there(parties and going out just like everyone at that age

). He was a good older brother, he always made sure we had money or activities to do. Now that he is older hes still the same but wiser. I can go to him for any advice i need.
I have a niece that is more like my little sister shes 17 and im 25 and we get along real well, I always took care of her and played with her, we have homevideos showing me looking out for her, instead of playing on my own. i was more like an older brother to her than an uncle.

Thanks everyone.

So to give everyone a bit more background I'm the oldest of three.

My brother is turning 22, my sister is turning 21. It's just been us three for the past 21 years and while we're not as close as most siblings, we all get along pretty well.

It's just strange to think that there's going to be a 4th sibling. Even though it's only going to be a half sibling I guess I already feel like I'm going to treat him/her like a full sibling.

On a funny sidenote I didn't think this marriage was going to last. I don't talk to my pops that often but he called me to tell me that he was getting married. Then I found out it was mainly to help my stepmom get her greencard. :roll eyes:

But I guess it turns out, they really like eachother afterall. :/

And now she's gone and got herself knocked up....

I dunno if my dad is going to be capable of raising this child the way it needs to be raised. I mean he's going to be 70 by the time this child turns 15!!!
