Datsun 510 wheel fitment?

Ive been looking for awhile now but i just cant find it, i was wondering what is the max wheel fitment(size and width and if offset matters) a stock datsun 510 can fit before needing to be tubbed?
If anyone can help please and thank you.

like 16x8, 0 offset, with stretched tires and a good roll.

don't forget how gay 510s look with anything bigger than 16's. even that's big, I personally wouldn't go over 15's.

Alot of the 510 guys will argue this fact to death!

15x8 0 offset (Sportmaxx) we got to fit on my friends 2 door here in sacramento. But he has to run some aggressive camber in the rear...and the front needs camber plates to adjust for more camber as well...

Fitment also depends on your suspension setup, do you have stock 510 front? or 280z...etc...This is also going to play a roll on wheel width and offset....

For Station wagons and Four doors its a bit different since we have the rear door sills, in order for u to do any kind of a pull your going to have to pull the door as well..or get some custom metal flares welded on (quite a bit of info on doing this if you search around)

Basically i would not go anything crazier than 15x8 0 offset...that alone will require an extensive amount of rolling and pulling on a 2 door...i have yet to try it on my 4 door but im sure its going to be a PITA

BTW, i think this is in the wrong section?

EDIT: 15's should be the biggest you go, anything bigger than that looks ghey^2 but thats just my opinion...

Yes I agree, nothing bigger then 15! I would say a good size is something like 15x7 1/2 rear, and 15x7 front. Offsets between +12 and +22 would prob work good. That’s just a guess though, never used myself.

I’m running 14x6 front and 14x6 1/2 rear. Don’t know my offset though, it’s something ive been slacking on measuring!

What kinda wheels? and what size tires u running? i have 14x6 ZX wheels that i refurbished (they are +12)

Fitment is good, i havent rolled my rears yet and i need to cut the FG on my front fenders a bit so i can plan on going wider

For MORE INFORMATION on Datsun 510's and wheel fitment, try checking our forum.ratsun.net or the510realm.com (not suggested, they hate good fitment!)

NorCalDime (Chris): We had to take a big hammer to the inner "stepped lip" in the rear, it was rubbing crazy-like! 15x8 +0 with 205/55's in the back. Up front, 15x8 +0 with a little positive offset if anything... Needs camber plates to tuck them in better.

Mine: Because I have a wagon, I can run ZERO camber in the rear (realistically). I run 15x7 -12 with 205/50's all around (which basically fits the same as a 15x7.5 +0). Fronts cleared stock fenders no problems at a higher ride height with less camber. I'm sure I could use stock fenders with a roll/pull up front and clear with the camber I run now. In back, I had to hammer the crap out of the upper "stepped lip" to the point where I had to actually flare my door to get it to close. No more rubbing!

step one: find wheels you like
step two: buy them in the lowest offset possible
step three: make them fit
step four: bask in your wheel fitment glory
lol

Honestly, fitment depends on ride height, what struts you're using up front, camber, tires, roll, roll/pull, flares, box flares, zg flares, etc, etc, etc...

MOST people on the510realm and ratsun will urge you to stay around a 15x7 with +0 to +15 offsets so you can put 215/50's on therem run minimal camber with only a roll and be fine. You can obviously take it to the extreme like Chris has done, or even flare your car to make whatever you get fit... like what I'm doing when I get my Diamond Racing wheels...

You'll be fine with a roll and mild pull (if even) with a 15x7 with low-to-zero offset and very little camber front and rear using 205/50's.

Do what you want! If you want aggressive, there are drawbacks (camber wear!! and modding the body can't really be un-done!), but it looks oh-so sweeeet!
