Just bought a Super Nintendo after having sold mine a while back.

Zelda, Super Mario, and Donkey Kong Country is just a taste.

Going to dig up what's left of my PS1 stuff.

Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, and Ape Escape will be mandatory.

Haven't played video games regularly in years.

Winter = me drunk, vegging out, being anti social and totally awesome.

Old school consoles kick ass. I had a FAMICOM (with disk system) til my dad decided to throw it away without telling anybody.

Atari FTW. Frogger was fun to play, um, but yeah, nintendo kicked its ass not long after its hype. my Uncle kept his Atari and i used to play it at my Grandparents when i was about 7.

I just got N64 emulation running on my Everun Note UMPC, and next up is Neo Geo and PC Engine CD. I want to play Blazing Star and Magical Chase.

I own a ton of old gaming hardware as I sort of collect it, but I hardly ever actually play any of it. It seems so much more painless to just emulate, but that doesn't mean I don't want to still own the actual shit.

On that note, if anyone knows where I can score an N64DD RANDnet box (sealed) for $400 or less, I'm all ears.

i donated all my shiet to james rolfe (angry video game nerd) about 3 years ago, got tired of having containers of useless shit in my house.

im all about old school, but the problem i have is that my emulating setup does EVERYTHING here on my PC. I play any NES, SNES, Genesis, TurboGrafx16, PSx, or arcade game that I want. All being controlled through high quality PS1 controller which I like more than any other controller out there.

Owning the classic systems is fine, but they sure take up a lot of room which I would rather put towards special car parts that I want to keep.

I'm glad I never sold any of my old game systems. I still have my intellivision, super nintendo, sega genesis, n64, playstation, and most of the newer ones.

I was just looking through some boxes and found the old NES, and Sega Genesis. What's funny is I also found the N64, man I bet I can own a lot of people on Super Smash Bros. If they had multiplayer online and leaderboards back then, I'm sure I'll be somewhere on the top.

Speaking of old school... I thought I'd share a rather depressing/disappointing story...

I was at the swapmeet about 3-4 years ago. I was browsing through peoples' old crap when I stumbled upon this older mexican guy with what appeared to be gold just sitting there.
I saw the box for a NES. It was still glossy and everything. Right next to it was the styrofoam casing and inside were the controllers, gun, game (Mario/Duckhunt), and cables still wrapped with those twist-sticks and in their bags even... Everything in mint condition. The one thing that wasnt there was the actual Nintendo itself. So I asked the man selling this stuff where it was and he said somebody stole it the week before... OMFG!!! What fucking asshole would do that?
Dude was selling the rest of the stuff for $30 but I didnt buy it... I was pissed...
