got an email from this rally company. sounds like fun. thought id share. below is the info.

Modball USA - 200 Cars. 2 Routes. 9 Parties!

The first East Coast vs. West Coast car rally involving 200 of the worlds finest modified cars. These 9 Parties/Stops are basically huge car meets that turn into club bashes since ALL drivers & passengers are considered VIP with included Hotel Stay & VIP party access.

You’re hearing this early! Modball USA will be without doubt the most talked about and anticipated event of 2009. AMAZING driving, AMAZING hotels and of course AMAZING parties just like every Modball Rally, with the finale party in Las Vegas, Nevada w/ the World Famous Pussycat Dolls.

Rally Start - Finish: October 30th - November 4th 2009

Firmly placing its stake in the ground as the Modified Version of the Gumball3000 and Bullrun the Modball Rally has already planned 2009 to be the biggest year yet in Europe and the USA.(Europe rally starts 6/6/09)

My suggestion to Car Crews & Teams…
If you’re a crew of 15+ members, try pitching in $100 per member so that the entrance fee is taken care of.

From there, dedicate or select 2 to 4 members to go along on the Modball Rally? Whether they’re the most dedicated member, president, coordinator, vp or randomly picked from a hat, make sure they will add Spice to this rally.

There will be Rappers, DJ’s, Models, Shop Owners, Millionaires & Car Crews throughout the Country on the Rally!

We don’t have space for 500 cars. This is 100 cars per coast. There are already about 110 cars with deposits down. This will move surprisingly fast, plan something quick so that you can at the very least, make a car reservation deposit.

What’s it cost to you?
Unlike other rallies that range in the $20k - $40k price range, the Modball Rally starts at $3,000 per vehicle!

Includes:
$3,000 will include Full Hotel Accommodation, VIP Entry to all stops/parties, Access to SEMA Show, Team Packs & VIP Entry to the MODBALL U.S.A. SEMA Party w/ a Live Performance by the Pussycat Dolls.

as if all modded cars didnt already have a stereotypical bad rep for street racing, we dont need this. A few bad apples ruin it for everybody. Thank you media for supporting and influencing this idea with your tv shows, video games and movies for glamorizing this as a lifestyle for people to follow.
