coming back from the super auto toys meet my car over heated....got stranded there for 45 minutes! 3 highways pulled up and said what i was doing there,i told them and they just left in stead of bringing me water!! saw 2 240's that were at the meet pass by and they didnt even help

..thanks guys..
and like 7 or 8 cars passed by that were at the meet to and they just stared at me...

finally a evo pulls up with 4 HIGH AS HELL white guys...lol...they didnt even know what city they were in!!! lol....tey gave me 2 liters of water that they had and left because "they were scared that the cops might pull up" lol ...

got home and found out one of my radiator hoses cracked and was leaking the fluids....time to get new silicone white hoses baby! or killer glass hoses!!! baller!!

Sucks, but stuff like this has happened to most 240 owners. I can't count the number of times I've been stuck on the side of the road.

yeah that sucks, i left a friends house around 10pm to have a alt. belt go out in my 240.. left me on the side of the freeway.. ziptied that mug and limped it most of the way til eventually it gave up/battery died, called a friend , charged the battery and limped again.. lol

i think if this happens u can sometimes use the ac belt or ps belt, but i guess u gotta have tools. lol

overheating sucks my fan is out. right now too. and as for the guys n the evo sounds like me n my friends when we go anywere 4 stoned asses in a car. lol

I always try and stop for 240 guys, and I usually have a toolkit (sockets/wrenches/electrical) and jumper cables with me, no matter which of my vehicles I'm in.

At least you got home

realllyyyy worth it...if u get the PLUS package u get 200 miles free tow every year i think...idk my dad has it but i've used it like about 3x..but its really worth it..some tow truck drivers are cool also..

I concur, but its not a plus package its a Premier package. I have had AAA for years because of this. Plus if you have a premier package they bring you free gas if you run out.
Though you have to be a AAA member for at least one year before they will offer you Premier service. You can get the 100 mile tow (Plus) service in the first year.

The regular service is $68 its $75 for the Pluss service 100 mile tow and $100 for the Premier service 200 mile tow.

They give you 4 service calls per year with each service but with the two uprated ones you get one long distance tow and the Premier has a few more perks like the free gas and a few other things.

ohhhh ok cool..i dont know what my dad has so i think he has the premium package cuz they said i get 200 miles free tow...so AAA is really worth it.. can u can use it the tow to pick up shells too?

I have the AAA Plus, and it's awesome!
Bailed my ass the few times my car broke down during a track day.
If you don't have a tow vehicle & trailer, it really is the next best thing.

Wish AAA had some 500+ mi tow package.
I'd be able to do some track event in another state with ease of mind.

Well technically no. Basically its supposed to be roadside recovery tow. Though if you just tell the dispatcher the street then ya the drivers that show up are usually cool about it. They don't care cause they get paid anyways. I once moved one of my cars from one shop to another and the first time I called I made the mistake of telling the dispatcher it was at a shop. She basically refused me tow service. So I just called back got a different dispatcher and gave the street address. LOL

Though ya its completely worth it with the cost of towing these days? Just one long distance tow even at 100 miles totally is worth it.

Seriously! Just a hookup is $60+, then like $8/mi?!? I have the AAA Premier package with the g/f (she pays for it), it's great. I've picked up tons of shells/non-running cars with it, I just tell them I bought a new car and need them to pick it up. Like Dave said, just tell them the street addy and the tow drivers are usually cool with whatever, since they bill AAA top dollar.
