So sick. I've been a fan of the avatar from book 1 and it is the shit. One of the best animated series imo. M. Knight sucks though so the movie will probably suck.

i heard of the cartoon, but dont really watch it. i just looked up the trailer, i think it looks pretty cool. but than again, not many american made martial arts movies hold a dime compared to chinese movies. But this cartoon is american right? so it should be alright.

I'm just curious to see how earth and water bending look in the movie. the trailer made the movie seem as if aang fights the fire nation alone, hope thats not the case.
I'd bet Shyamalans' "twist" is that the avatar can use all 4 elements

I watched probably an episode or 2 of this, but didn't know it was going to be that popular when it first came out. I thought it kind of looked like dragon ball, but it was kind of boring.

i watched the trailor a few nights ago on yahoo movies and it looks pretty good, but i have a hard time believing that a cartoon on Nickelodeon can make an entertaining movie for anyone who is not a kid.

granted, i might just ignorant since I've never watched any of the new cartoons on cable these like this avatar or that other ninja boy Narutu. but I feel like i am going to be bored. Like when I was hoping to be really amazed by TMNT since it was CGI and I remembered the ninja turtles being kick ass, but I forgot it was only kick ass to me because I was a kid when they first came out, and I've grown up.

who knows, maybe i'm wrong and it will be for 13 and up audience like Transformers or the new GI Joe.

Just for the record the Naruto Anime is nowhere near as good as the Manga. Except for the original 100 episodes.

its probably good. i never said that cartoons don't make good movies. if cartoons are kid themed like TMNT was, it kind of bores me, (but there was a good fight scene in there with ralph and leo).

in fact, just 2 weeks ago i watched Star Trek and then Up right after. I give credit to Up since it was a good movie, but I preferred Star Trek.

you know guys know what i'm saying. Avatar can be great, if it focuses on more mature topics, fight scenes, and a good plot/story.
