yea the economy is garbage right now. I work at Hilton Hotel and you see it, ppl dont want to travel, and tips are at zero now when before id go home with a nice um of 50 to 60 bucks tips plus my hourly wage of 13 dollars an hour.

My director is a shit head and treats us like shit. thought about quiting and finding another job, but it may not be worth it right now. My co-worker was in the Navy and used to go to Japan a lot and have fun, and im taking that into a consideration.

i hope economy goes up soon, we just have to thank our ex fucked up president Bush and the damn rotting away government!!!

Yeah shit gets real tough. Only hope is to get closer to Orange County where there are more jobs available but the gas will kill you unless you get 6hours a day atleast

Temp jobs are the absolute WORST ever. There's no job security. I used to work with a temp agency out in socal. Lost my job once every three months. once in a while you do hear ppl getting full time job through them, but i would think its a rare. The only pro is that you don't have to go through the hassles of looking for regular work, but that isn't as depressing as being told "you are no longer needed anymore" a couple times a year. Even McDonald's server position offers more dignity imo (even if at less pay).

Companies that use temps too (for long term employment) are questionable. How difficult is it to post an ad on Craigslist/Monster, etc, read resumes, and give interviews? Anyone with half a brain can arrange something like that. If they're using temp agencies to get job applicants (esp with these times), that goes to show there are some serious deficiencies in the management of that company. Probably a sign of severe disorganization and/or incompetence.

A friend and I went to apply for a job at the local staterbros in August. The fucking line for the interviews streched all the way to the store next to it. She ended up getting the job and I didnt. About two months later they had openings again. She put in a good word for me and her boyfriend but none of us got the job, according to her some lazy son of bitch ended up getting it and he FAILS hard. Shit is gay, I put in an application at a local toys r us but I doubt they will get me.

I just got a job at IBM in an office with free coffee yay.

my neighbor yelled over to me while i was washing my car a few months ago and asked if i was still looking for work.

It's only 14 bucks an hour but it's full time and i get benefits so i'm mad happy.

My aunt is going to hook it up with a job at her local Sheriff's station where she works at.

I've been out of a job for a couple of months now, but have managed just fine by being smart with my money and actually saving a ton of it for this exact moment.

Hopefully, all goes well.

Won't be driving my S13 to work though.

I just recieved a paycut at work. Better to have a paycut than to lose my job. Best thing for me to do is sell my S13 after 5 years of ownership and just save up my funds. This hobby (tuning) is definitely not practical at this point in my life and economical situation. FUCK.

I am really confused. People are saying there are no jobs anywhere. I know here there are job openings everywhere i go. I dont know of a single person who is afraid of getting laid off or having trouble finding a job and this is the off season right now. Half the business' are closed till Memorial day

I think people are just to judgemental about where they work and would rather play the poor poor me car.

I for one would never pass up a job cause i didnt feel i could park my car there. Thats assinine

I wouldn't either.

I've been working at a shop for a while now just to get out of the house and do something productive, but it's not like I've been desperately trying to get a job for the past 5 months that I've been unemployed.(Had several job offers as well, but passed on them because I was looking for a change of pace.)

Reason for a new daily is because the S13 is going under the knife and probably won't be out of the garage for months.(Complete overhaul)

To make this short, I'd never pass up a great job opportunity because of the car I drive. It's not like I have anything illegal on it anyway(other than the ride height which is just a simple fix it ticket anyway).
