Want to buy this, but is it fixable?

A buddy of mine has an 89 s13 coupe for sale. He is asking $900 but i think hes expecting to get WAAYY lower. And this car is just taking up room and he is in no rush to sell it. He isnt even posting it up anywhere. According to him it was working perfectly fine, but he bought another car, and let the s13 sit in his driveway for a year because he didnt need it anymore. How bad is it that the motor and trans has been sitting for year? I have read articles about a start up procedure for cars that have been sitting for years on end. What do you guys think? Here are some pictures...

Yeah, do you think this is fixable though? Its a tangled mess! Is it part of the frame? or is it just bars that go left to right?

Looks like the upper core support. It can be replaced.

It's fixable, but since you don't know what it is I highly recommend that you don't fix it yourself.

I recommend you get something else, since you don't seem to have skills in collision repair.

Why make things harder for yourself?

Looks like the damage is light.

I would say take the front bumper off first, pop the hood, and look at the core support.

The upper section can be pulled/hammered back in place.

From the looks of it, it seems like it just needs new bumper supports and headlight assemblies.

Go with a Silvia front = problem solved.

Stock front ends go for $100 or less at times depending on condition.

It does seem like an easy fix, but for me to say yes to that, I'd definitely need to take off the bumper to look at the support.

Funny thing is that car is probably considered a great buy in most states besides CA.

As far as the motor thats been sitting, we buy sr's that were orriginally from like 93 and stuff, and who knows how long they have been sitting. Throw em in and start right up.

Well I would rather sit in nice comfy corbeaus than beat up stock s13 seats. i mean, i have them, why not put them in? they are more comfortable than the beat up stinky stock ones... but... everyone entitled to their own opinion.

I would rather sit on a Folgers coffee can than a Corbeau seat.
