3D Porn On The Horizon?
Hong Kong filmmakers look to create the new big thing (get it?) in erotic movies.

January 26, 2009 - Think you spend a lot of time indoors playing Gears of War 2 and World of Warcraft? Pal, you ain't seen nothing yet. A new trend in the adult entertainment world is fast approaching and with it comes the promise of completely demolished social lives, expanded global sales of tissues and complete alienation from your loved ones. That's right friends, 3D porn is coming (I'll take bad puns for $100, Alex).

A couple Hong Kong filmmakers are in the planning stages for their upcoming pornographic movie, 3D Sex and Zen, which will begin filming in April. With a budget of $4 million, the project is actually a remake of the original Sex and Zen movie, one of Hong Kong's best known erotic films. About 25-30% of the movie will be sex scenes, which, if our own personal porn viewing habits are any indicator, means that we will never see the additional 70% of the movie. Heck, considering on how good looking the girls are, we may never make it past the same 5% over and over again.

"Just imagine that you'll be watching it as if you were sitting beside the bed," Producer Stephen Shiu Jnr told the Sunday Morning Post. "There will be many close-ups. It will look as if the actresses are only a few centimetres from the audience."

A special effects company, one that has worked on blockbusters including The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D, is being brought in to produce the 3D imagery for the film. While other markets will probably just get a home version, in Hong Kong this cinematic masterpiece will be released in theaters. Yeah, because apparently when you get 3D boobs thrust in your face, you want 80 other dudes sitting only several inches away from you.
