I don't normally enjoy documentaries, but this one is very well done.

The story goes into detail to correct misconstrued information about cannabis [Destroys brain cells; addictive; gateway drug]
As well as "hinting" the reasons that cannabis will not be legalized [for a while anyway].

History on where it came from and VERY interesting facts about practical uses of marijuana. [We're allowed to purchase and use items made from industrial cannabis yet not grow it in USA]

Definitely a super educating and entertaining video. I promise you'll be laughing about our policy by the end of the movie.

Everyone says legalize. Tax it, make money.
It would make money.
But with SOOOO many people growing, it would be signifiantly cheaper. Also more readily available so maybe it would still make money.

The real issue is our economy. It would make money, but would it make enough to cover most the wages of all the officers that lose their job when a narc isn't very important any more?
Pharmaceutical wont be happy. Tylenol or just smoke a joint? You'd better believe these companies have enough money to toss at a politician to help him say no to legalization.

I just love the part where they cant prove that smoking does ANYTHING negative to your body. Lung cancer? No. Brain cells? Possibly stimulates them not destroys. etc etc.

oh i know, i have many friends that get medicinal stuff. its really easy just go to the doctor pay your 200 and you can get a license.
i also know many stoners who wouldnt grow weed they would just buy it. growing outdoors is cheap and easy but inside is a different story not everyone has a place to grow outside.

I really liked the documentary on National Geographic with Lisa Ling(sp?)

But legalization would do a ton of good for the world. Crime would plummet, the government wouldlt waste billions, and people wouldnt struggle to pay for medicine, it prevents many illnesses which would mean less people in the hospitals, and I could go on. Hopefully when all these old farts die off we can get something done. But Im getting high regardless

I don't think that most people would grow there own. For too many people it is recreational and there for not worth the effort. When you smoke it once in a while, you aren't going to go through the hassle of setting up a grow op. when you can just run down to the store and pick up a gram.

I think it is straight up a fucking joke that it is illegal. I have thought that for a long time now. Look at the problems caused by alcohol and tobacco. Both are addictive, both kill millions, yet both are legal? What the fuck is going on.. Yet a drug that is completely harmless, and actually has benefits is termed as a "bad drug" and made illegal, making way for a huge world of crime that revolves around drugs.

I could see it becoming legal in Canada, not so much in the states though.

I'm not ignoring the fact that some states allow the prescription of marijuana as a medicine - I know that. The federal government still outlaws it in any form, and last time I checked, federal law was higher than state.

Why do you assume everyone that smokes weed smokes constantly everyday?
I know that when I was 16-18 I partied all the time got drunk all the time. It was awesome, I was being a little bad ass! As I got older and Alchy got more accessible I got tired of it.
I was being a rebel going against the system with a group of people and it was cool.

If it were legalized there would be an immediate EVERYONE getting high for a while [because its now legal] but soon, it would be like alcohol; Legal and no longer cool just something that alot of people do. Obviously there'd be people that abuse it, but there's people that abuse everything.

Too many jobs would be lost if it was legalized... Too many powerful companies would lose stock. It won't happen.
