I don't consider myself to be engrossed in any particular culture....nor am I anchored to any particular country.

A year ago I left my home state that I was born and raised after 23 years. I guess I was looking for something new, a new place where no one knew me so I could just be left alone and do my thing. I found that place, but miss where I came from. However, I found the love of my life here I think. I've found a wonderful girl who doesn't mind my passion for cars, and never tries to keep me from doing what I love. That's all I've ever wanted, but this town still isn't home. Although I haven't traveled as much as it sounds like you have, I know in a small way what your saying. I've always wanted to move to Australia too, at least I'd have a friend there if I moved. (<--reference to project sillbeer, Brendan) I'll meet you in Melbourne next month. Sound good?

I have the same problem kinda.

I was born in Biloxi, Mississippi. Literally 2 minutes from the ocean. I am 19 and have lived here for 19 years. I have only moved about 4 times my whole life but it was always somewhere in the same city.

I WANT to get out and see other things and I think the only way I can do that reasonably is to join some branch of the military. I might end up doing that so I can explore the world. My friend who lived down the road from me for so long joined the army about 5 or 6 months ago and so far he has been to so many places...

I would miss living here but I think it would only last for a few years at the most. I dont feel at home here and I have never been able to figure out why. Maybe the people suck....maybe its that out of the many people I've met and my friendly, people loving personality I have only been able to acquire about 3 TRUE friends. I just dont get it. Is it me or is it people?

Im in jacksonville now and still have the same feeling. When I went to pensacola I didnt have that feeling. I just get the feeling that that is the right place for me, but that cant be possible because I havent been to every place I want to visit.

The world is huge and I want to explore every inch of it that I can.

Maybe you and I think the same on this subject..who knows.

raised in the 'burbs.
will never consider living anywhere else (until ca. bans the internal combustion engine).

i'm glad i've stayed in one place. i've got "ties to the community".

cool! so youve been here. i guess living here all my life has made things dull. but then again, when i see professional photographs of the place, it makes me realize that it really IS nice. lol

Kevin took a bad ass picture from that two lovers point (iirc?) of Tumon Bay....it is realllly beautiful...and the waterfall....sooo nice. Not to mention 2 of the best mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at in that region of the world.
