| No Limit Soldier. ![]() | MyGallons! You (don't) have to click here! *ADMIN warning - this is likely a scam* Mygallons.com Web site May Help Save Gas Money for Drivers As anyone who owns a car and drives him or herself knows, gas prices keep getting higher. Of all places to turn to for relief, few probably envisioned that a website called Mygallons.com could provide any help. But Mygallons.com is proposing to do just that for drivers who want some form of cheap gas. True, the Internet is hardly a place to pump gas from, and Mygallons.com doesn't bring the gas to you directly. However, the Internet can help you purchase all kinds of products on line, so now Mygallons.com adds gas to that list at a fixed price that could help your wallet later on. Mygallons.com first requires you to log in and join the site. After you have done so, you can get a Mygallons card which can work to get your tank filled. Members of Mygallons.com can purchase gas online. The fixed price of your gas on the site will be the same as the average gas prices on the day you join. Although members will still likely pay about $4 for gas, the price will stay the same even if prices rise to 5 or 6 dollars in the coming months. When or if that happens, the customer will save a lot of money by redeeming their online purchases.Once you're finished purchasing the amount of gas you want, your account will show how may gallons you have left on your card, your transaction history and the current price of gas on the site. Months later, the driver can swipe the card at the pump and automatically get the amount of gas you paid for earlier, without paying the higher prices of that day. However, membership in Mygallons.com still costs a bit of money in of itself. There is a $29.95 membership fee for an automatic refill plan, while a membership plan for self-replenishment costs $39.95. However, once this is paid, the customer's Mygallons.com user card can be used at about 95% of the nation's gas stations. Customers will be alerted as to when their balances come close to zero so they can add additional gallons to their plan. Mygallons is headquartered in Miami, Florida, and founded by CEO Steve Verona. | Premium Member ![]() | Yeah, it sounds too good to be true. What they are charging for membership, isn't even that much. Which to me, rings an alarm. True, millions of people could join, and that is a lot of membership income. But, the amount that people will save on gas, how will this company stay afloat? The profit margin, is just going to get smaller, and smaller. If this IS legit, count me and the whole state of Hawaii in. |

| Nissanaholic! ![]() | Some more info http://www.usnews.com/blogs/alpha-co...as-prices.html Sounds a bit like a pyramid scheme, and the guy is from Miami so it sounds even more shady. If they're making money of the membership though, they must be figuring that their returns on interest will allow them to break just above even. Let us know if it works out for ya.

| Zilvia Member ![]() | It's actually pretty straight forward. There are companies that do the same thing with meat and vegetables. Your basically buying in bulk ahead of time, which is a money saving practice with any product.

| Nissanaholic! ![]() | mygallons telling lies Does anyone do homework anymore before writing or publishing a story? Looks like the answer is NO. Here are the problems I see with mygallons.com site. They state: 2000 members Soft Launch in January Problems: Registered Domain in March Registered company in April Got SSL Certificate 2 weeks ago (Not possible to run credit cards without it) Have testimonials on their site (Not possible since no site, no members and it takes 1-6 weeks to get card) Site went live last week Conclusion: Not too good. They are not being honest and truthful. Make your own conclusion. Do I feel safe sending them my hard earned dollars, absolutely NOT

| Nissanaholic! ![]() | It WILL go down. It always does around September, its always highest in the summer just look at this chart http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_retail_price_chart.aspx Unless of course the US Dollar keeps getting weaker OR other leading currencies get stronger

| AFC #1 ![]() | and the scam begins... Quote:
Apparently some company's in the Northeast did this with fuel oil for heating homes over the winter and left a lot of people with vouchers they couldn't use. I wouldn't send them a cent till you can actually redeem your gas.

| We're watching you. ![]() | Gas has already started going down. Well, where I usually fill up, it was $4.56 for 91 today compared to a few days ago at $4.89. No need to fall for these stupid scams.

| Premium Member ![]() | i've heard of something similar to this in the midwest..people actually have a "gas bank" where they bought gas back in the day for $1 or so/per gallon and still have a bunch today. it was on the news a while back so i thought it was legit. this one is just kinda weird...same concept but no references
