My autoshop has a Nissan 12v Inline 6 with and electric carb. what engine
and car would this be from? I can't find the code plate on it anyplace

Probably an L-series (L24, 26, 28)...  What do you mean by electric carb?  You mean it's a feedback carb (O2 sensor) or is it TBI?

Off chance it's an RB20 or RB30 I guess...

I think they came in the real old stanzas.  They are extremely long for a inline 6, like 3, 4 feet.

eh...its an FWD I4...still like to know what it is...

oddly this makes three Nissan engines, One Suburu and the rest are domestics...now if there was only a working 13b Turbo someplace...
