Vera looked great, Shogun looked like shit. I think Shogun should move to 185, his cardio is garbage at 205. The only reason why he looked good in Pride is because he was younger and who knows if he was jucing with the laxed regulations that organization had.

Vera hung in the pocket with the guy and some may say was even out-striking Shogun up until that final flurry that ended the fight. I really hope Dana doesnt cut Vera after such a great performance. I think it was more Brandon getting tired from trying to knock shogun out than the actual punches that really ended the fight.

Machida should face Gustaffson for a title eliminator.

Yup you read it right. He didnt do enough to take the belt off of the champ in my opinion. I guess what I am trying to say is if this was a non title fight I wouldnt of been surprised if the judges gave Edgar the decision.

Of course judging is much more stricter in championship bouts, which is why I said that in my previous post.

Edgar didnt do enough to take the belt off of Bendo. Bendos leg kicks were his bread and butter in this fight.

Frankie got straight up robbed.... Ben Henderson worst and most hated champ in UFC history. Ben barely won the first fight (IMHO he lost that as well) and then does less in the rematch and also wins.. WTF if up with these judges... Taking a break from MMA for a while!

There is a perfect example of the advantage the current champion has going into title fights. Unfortunately without finishing Ben, Frankie could have put on a passive clinic on Ben and still would've lost to a split.I had it scored 3-2 Frankie. As per Zenkikid's comment about Ben's kicks were his bread and butter, Cesar peoples said it once and I believe it is true.... "Leg kicks do not win fights".

They tend to forget that Aldo won his fight agaisnt Faber because of his leg kicks and foot work which killed Faber's takedowns and power.

Doesn't apply to every fight. Look at Pat Barry vs Joey Beltran. That was a kick dominated fight that left joey unable to stand, let alone do anything offensive...Aldo's fight was a kick dominated fight all 5 rounds. In that case, Leg kicks do win fights. But Ben threw his kick out there every so often. Not enough to say he dominated 5 rounds of action purely on his kicks or to say he shut down frankie by his devastating kicks. Aldo shut down faber with his kicks and faber did/couldn't do anything, Ben kicked Frankie a few times here and there, but frankie kept his pace.

i'll admit , edgar vs diaz wouldn't be a spectacular fight compared to benson vs diaz, due to diaz's reach advantage.

Diaz doesn't have real strength in his shots, he just peppers his opponents over and over and over and over.

I'm hoping Roger Gracie can come back strong from his first loss and have a successful career in Strikeforce. Only thing is that Strikeforces LHW division is not that deep aside from like 2-3 fighters depending on what you think of them.

roger actually moved down to middle weight. he doesn't like to get hit with that glass jaw. all he need is to keep working with machida but, incorporating boxing dominant. much like diaz slow speed/power and reach but, with better spacing.

but, if i were him i would just work on td all day. achieve like gsp td quick springs. get my opponent down quickly as possible and dominate from the ground. where he's good at.
