| Zilvia.net Bot ![]() | Filed under: Coupes, Sports/GTs, China, Euro, Crossovers/CUVs, Infiniti, Nissan ![]() Dave Guilford of Automotive News sat down with Carlos Tavares, Nissan MoCo's global product chief, and the fruits of his investigative labors revealed that Infiniti has big plans over the next three years. A product push that involves a number of new models and expansion of the Infiniti brand into 90-percent of the luxury markets globally are the cornerstone of the marque, with sales likely to begin in South Korea and Russia, along with Europe in the latter half of next year. Product-wise, Infiniti intends to bring approximately 10 new vehicles to market by the end of the decade, and although Tavares was mum on specifics, he did state that more crossovers, a "sports-oriented" car and a flagship are all part of the future lineup. | Back to the Shadow Complex ![]() | ^ That's cause it wasn't an actual press release. It was just info provided by Carlos Tavares during an interview. Infinity has already announced that they were expanding their line-up by three models; a small sports car below the G, another X-Over, and a flagship sports car. The also announced the return of the Q. That's four models right there. Six more? Sounds more like replacements for their current models. I'd REALLY like to see (besides the coupe based on the next 240) a small RWD sedan. Kinda like a G20 replacement. It could easily be made on the 240 platform. The fact that Cadillac is making a car in this segment, makes it more probable. Man, I can't wait to see if all my predictions are right 5 years from now. |

| Keeping it simple... ![]() | INFINITI ![]() I definitely see a flagship sedan with the return of the Q, a G series convertible, a smaller car to compete with the BMW 1 series and maybe a luxo car riding on the GTR platform to compete with the Lexus LF-A and Acura NSX. The rest can be various trim levels. off-topic: what's with the ZilviaBot SN? Is that a real person or...a bot? |
