god its such a sexy piece of piping. even hotter in your own hands. fits really really well too.

now i just need to find that tranny/exhaust bracket piece so i can get properly secured. for some reason all i have been able to find is the first half of the bracket...the metal part that the rubber piece somehow bolts to. no one i know has that full bracket.

Any chance on you making the cobra flex downpipe with a flange right under the flex section to make it easier to install? Maybe a V-Band flange since there isn't much space.

Do you think if i installed this on the engine out of the car that it would flex enough to stay on while i put the engine in?

^installing the cobra when the engine is in the car is super easy, plenty of room around the steering shaft. removed and installed mine many times, easiest elbow/dp combo i've removed and installed.

hmm. i guess since it is individual pipes and not a big oval section for the outlet like I'm used to then I can understand how its a lot easier, esp if you stud all 5 holes.

BUT Still i think it would be easier for pulling the tranny, working on the steering rack... etc if there was an even easier way to seperate the 2 halves, such as a V-Band.
I mean I could weld it in myself but their welds are so nice I would rather it pre-fabbed.

I have answered the first question many times with a "NO". A big plus on the one piece is eliminating a common exhaust leak point & one bolt near the firewall is always difficult to tighten. I never considered a v-band, that may work fine. It does not flex that much.
