Im goin to school at RIT at the end of august, just wanted to see what the car 'scene' is like up there, figured there would be some people on here from around that area.
I wont be bringing my 240 up to school, but id be nice to find some car people to chill with

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHAH!. i went to SUNY alfred for 4 years, and my GF lived in churchville (burb of roc) and i lived in downtown rochester for a semester. here's the deal.

rusty civics
rusty dsm's
never noticed too many nissan anythings
PICKUP TRUCKS PICKUP TRUCKS PICKUP TRUCKS (all with rust)
umm lots of fords..
an like anywhere, tehre will be wrx's

so if you have an SR'd 240, you'll tear up most hicks up there.

the car scene is eh?...most of the nice cars r solo rider and wont even bother wit the scene...theres a car forum for that area roclife.org...but most of them like to talk crap...and i agree with ^...my s14 dont get the attention(got that jdm theme for that 1) but my wrx(foglights,hood scoop...ect.) get people to take a double look....*sigh....but n e ways rit is a good skool going there in the fall

i go to RIT as well. i drive around a black sileighty. nsn240, interesting that you are from hershey, i used to live in lancaster. in fact, i'm going back there this weekend. but yea, i live off campus, so you guys probably don't see much of me. autocross is next weekend (29th), anyone else gonna hit that up?

im from the roc myself and there is definitely alot dsm, civics, and mustangs up here. looking for sum racing action, sunday nites. i don't know where ne more. maybe try over somewhere on lee rd out in gates off of lyell rd by steve t's

sure, sounds good to me. i want to find some parts that are local. set something up and i'll drop by. i can't this weekend though because i'll be away, but maybe next weekend. i've also been wanting to hit up the track before they close up for the season. let me know if you guys want to join. my roommate and i will be going there soon. i'm hoping to hit some 12's.

wow didnt think i see any other 240 owners on this board. theres some people at mcc with 240s too. i wont see any of you guys any time soon cuz winter is here and im driving around my beat gc8. and i highly suggest not to go to a sunday meet anywhere cuz its just a beaner fiesta. my 240 will be out by summer hopefully june. gonna get my body work redone and thinking of which swap to go thru either the cheaper route sr20 or break my pockets with a 2jz.

first post on zilvia. usually im on 240sxforums.com

well guys, i'm going to bring this thread back up. we should all get together sometime. maybe even make a trip to the track once it opens in case any of you are curious what your cars do in a straight line.

nsn240: i tried to reply to your pm, but its full.

i should post this in WTB forums, but i guess i'll give it a shot here since i might have better luck finding one locally. my transmission is toast and i need a new one. anyone know of someone with one or have an sr or ka tranny sitting around, let me know. i want my car running again asap.

you must have not heard of stm.

10 sec stock block evo.

the dsm's rule up here. im trying to change that,

there are a couple boosted s13's and one boosted b14 for sure.
but not much, rust pretty much ends all.
