hey man i just swapped j30 guts into a stock open 90 240sx diff and shimmed it as well. I cant get the right axle to go in all the way. the left is fine but the longer right one wont go in by like 1/2 a centimeter. any suggestions???
hey that diff broke in and is fine just needed some miles on it. Also question , ive put turbos on hondas and done plenty sr20 swaps but im runnin a ka 96 obd2 as far as fuel manage ment for t3t4 will 370s adj fpr and safc2 be enough to run 7 psi or do i need fmu pls dont grill on stand alone i kno i know
hey had a question about vlsd output shafts, did all vlsd 6 bolt outputs for vlsd have reluctor rings for abs? mine do not thinking i pssibly f up and got wrong outputs with my diff , 1 was longer but not by much, and i measured the inside splines to the outputs and it was very close do u have any pics of vlsd outputs or any sites ive cheked google some 5 bolt pics and there seems to be a big difference in splines and gaps any info would be appreciated yes i still have some clunk but also have locking power
have been paying alot of attention while driving since shimming and the ratcheting sound is still present, instead of tires chirping and such, wondering if theres a weak point inside like not enough grab to chirp tires and releases inside the diff causing this sound and movement , yeah it kinda moves the rearend back and forth but there is enough grab to break it loose and burn em out.... tell me if im over thinkin this bro
I used a synthetic diff fluid thought that be enough, but im going to add a additive this weekend, hopefully this will quit some of the clunking noise, also gotta thank u for this post my s14 is a totally different beast. non working diff w outputs 160, seals shim and fluid 35, wicked locking power priceless......
