Reconnecting airbags is really not as hard as you think.

Disconnect battery (wait a few mins)
Re-connect harnesses
Connect battery

Being an airbag though, I can see how people would feel intimidated about those things. Anyone who switches to an aftermarket steering wheel on a s14 will lose the function of the passenger airbag unless they add a resistor to the driver side airbag.
