there is absolutely no scientific evidence that this is going to happen...i cant remember where but there was this article about a guy who opened up a website to buy all this shit to prepare for 2012....water purifiers, gas masks, canned food, soil, generators, concrete and idk wat else...this guy is making thousands

History Channel had a weekend exploring many facets of 2012 a couple months back. I wont lie, it scared the crap out of me.

Not only do the Mayans predict something big happening in 2012, So does Nostradamus. There are select Buddhist who also say that our past lives may be 'reset' in that year. Astronomers even think that there are going to be huge solar flare-ups in that time which may affect our magnetic poles and whatnot.

I didnt fall for Y2K... But this... I dont know, I dont think the world will end but Im coming to believe that something big really might happen.

I agree with beb and astronomers out there, that the planets might align specific way where all the planets and even moons are in one line towards the sun. Talk about one hell of a solar eclipse, that may last for hours. Yea, i think ppl will freak out and possibly have some mayhem on the streets. Solar Flares are also a possibility, but they are also a possibility now, I mean we can get one right now if it accured a specific way where it would head towards our planet. There are pictures of the sun already having a large amount of right properties that cause sun flares.

All in all, we are at risk everyday by different things, such as: H1N1 (swine flu), War, Economy, Terrorism and everything else to that matter, the point is that this is just life and its either you die or live through it. Be prepaired for the worst and hope for the least. Im always ready for some crazy sh*t that goes on. It's not like we never learned about all this stuff in history class, it all repeats itself. Learn from the past so you can survive in the future.

Anyways, enough of preashing here. haha.

I was watching the Paranormal Activity last nite and the 2012 trailer was on. just wanna say that how many times are they gonna make movies about total apocalypse??? I mean we seen the Knowing, The day after tomorrow, War of the Worlds, etc. Its bs how everything is after us and the damn planet!!! It seems like the media ran out of ideas on how else to scare us, so they are just upgrading movies on the same topic. Every time I see them, i get a feeling of throwing up on the damn whole movie crew!!!

Randomly dying? Get serious. The people who have died from it have all had weaker immune systems to begin with. "Perfectly fine" people get sick all the time. The people who stay sick have deficiencies of some sort. It's just another strand of flu. More people have died from malaria this past year than H1N1. Hell, more people have died from Terburculosis (sp?) this year than H1N1 AND we have cures for those.
