I just have to say Juan is the man. I had told him originally that I needed an adapter by this Thursday because my motor is going to be out of the car for only a day. And he made it happen, even shipped the part on his lunch break to make sure I got it in time. Going to install it tomorrow and take some pic's when everything is plumbed.

Juan thanks for the awesome customer service you showed, always answering PM's fast and helping me out.

no sweat Marc, glad it got there in time
post office isn't far so it's no biggie

Update:
parts are pretty much done - de-burred, re-tapped, veritexed, ultrasonic cleaned and
soaked in alcohol
just awaiting anodizing
so why haven't we got them out?
answer: fittings

they're pretty expensive
we aren't completely happy with the finish on them
they're expensive
they came with the wrong hex pattern
they're expensive

so

we're going to try to make them
going to spend a few days on them (we're still ahead of schedule)
and then send fittings and blocks for anodizing - black and blue accordingly

various ways to do it, some lines are made specifically for turbos and will have it built in
there are restrictors that bolt to the turbo itself
you'll have to search a little to see what works best for you

Pointers

got mine today! just about to install it right after this post.

ty Juan & Mike!

General pointers for installation.

  1. Be sure to coat the o-rings within the center bore of the adapter with eng. oil prior to installation so that they are not damaged.
  2. When using existing oil adapter bolts, make sure flat washers are used between the adapter and lock washer on the bolt. This is to ensure no damage to the aluminum occurs while tightening the bolts/lock washer against the adapter.
  3. Use your favorite thread sealer when screwing the oil pressure sending unit or other components in the adapter.
  4. Base gaskets (adapter to engine gasket) are okay but I prefer using hi-temp silicone for sealing most surfaces. If using no gasket, be sure not to over/under apply the amount of hi-temp sealer. A 1/8" (approx. 3mm) bead is plenty (note to Juan/Mike: a thin shallow groove machined into the base of the adapter will promote sealer stability.)

any 3/4-16 adapter will work if you want to use OEM filters
there are plenty to choose from Summit, Earls, etc

yeah, we thought about putting a small groove there
but decided at the end to leave the same as the oem design
