AIM Sports Dashes & Data Acquisition

This is the stuff for everyone getting serious about their cars for next season. These units replace your factory dash and allow you to data log whatever sensors you have hooked up to them. Each model has slightly different features, the main ones which are listed below along with links to the Aim Sports site for more information.

The prices listed are MSRP. PM me for your price. These will be the best prices you can find anywhere on these guaranteed! Once this deal has gone through the prices will go up. The good news is, if more people get in on this initial purchase the price will go down a little more.

I need to know who is really interested and which unit you would want and what sensors you plan on running with the unit. Just post here, pm or email me (mac@rttuning.com) and I can get you an exact quote. We will be placing this order within the next couple weeks, so let me know if you want in on this.

Also, if you see anything else on the AIM sports site that you may want, let me know.

Does it connect to all the stock sensors or does it come with new sensors.
Does it need to be purchase separately?

n addition, the MyChron 3 Gold Auto has 4 fully configurable analog inputs: temperatures (thermocouples – thermoresistors), pressures (Oil – Fuel – Airbox), potentiometers, potentiometers (suspension travel – brake pedal displacement – throttle pedal displacement – steering angle – roll angle), Lambda sond, “on-board/stock” sensors, or custom made sensor configurations, gear position (either sampled from an “on-board” gear sensor or calculated from RPM and speed values), and lap time
Doesn't sound like any sensors are included.

We are working on getting the AIM Sports dashes to interface with the factory ECU. If we achieve this, you will be able to monitor everything that the ECU sees.

www.aim-sportline.com
This is the italian site, don't worry it's in english, but it has better descriptions of what each unit comes with.

I am also working on putting together packages that include sensors and everything you need to get this stuff running so that you guys don't have to worry about sourcing the other parts. I will post this stuff up tomorrow once I get all the numbers and necessary parts worked out.

If you have any more questions let me or Mac know and we'll do what we can to answer everything.

Sir, that just tells you what the unit is capable of, it does not make any mention of what sensors are included. Just check the other site I posted for lists of what is available.

Alright, I put together a couple packages for you guys with a little more off.

MXL Strada, this is the base MXL unit, fully configurable, but does not export your data to a computer for analysis. The package will include:
- wiring harness
- CAN/RS232 harness to connect to ecu
- water temp sensor
- oil temp sensor
- exhaust gas temp
- rpm sensor
- speed sensor
- oil pressure
- boost
- 3 more analog inputs that you can use for whatever you want

Price: PM Me or Mac for price.

MXL Pista, this is the midrange MXL unit, fully configurable, has 8mb of storage and you can export all of this data to your computer for analysis. This is a great setup for a race car. Package includes:
- wiring harness
- CAN/RS232 harness to connect to ecu
- water temp sensor
- oil temp sensor
- exhaust gas temp
- rpm sensor
- speed sensor
- oil pressure
- boost
- internal lateral accelerometer
- lap timing setup
- 3 more analog inputs that you can use for whatever you want

Price: PM Me or Mac for price

MXL Pro 2005, this is the top of the line unit. It has 12 inputs, 4 speed inputs, internal accelerometer, 16mb data storage for later analysis. It's probably more than most people need. This is what I plan on running in my car because I'm a suspension dork and will be using 4 channels for shock potentiometers. The package includes:
- wiring harness using Deutsch autosport connectors, top of the line stuff you see in F1 and LM cars
- CAN/RS232 harness to connect to ecu
- water temp sensor
- oil temp sensor
- exhaust gas temp
- rpm sensor
- speed sensor
- oil pressure
- boost
- internal lateral accelerometer
- lap timing setup
- 7 more analog inputs that you can use for whatever you want and 3 more speed channels to monitor wheel speed

Price: PM Me or Mac for quote

For a less expensive option, the Mychron 3 is also available.

The Mychron 3 Plus, this is the entry level dash and data acq system, it has 512mb of internal storage for analysis. Package includes:
- water temp sensor
- oil temp sensor
- speed sensor
- rpm sensor
- oil pressure sensor
- boost sensor

Price: PM Me or Mac for quotes

Mychron 3 gold, a step up from the mychron 3 plus, this has 8mb memory and a higher samping rate. Package includes:
- water temp sensor
- oil temp sensor
- speed sensor
- rpm sensor
- oil pressure sensor
- boost sensor
- lateral accelerometer
- lap timing setup

Price: PM me or Mac for quote

The Mychron 3 XG Log, has an additional channel, an additional speed input, 8mb memory and can interface with the ecu through RS232/CAN. Package includes:
- water temp sensor
- oil temp sensor
- speed sensor
- rpm sensor
- oil pressure sensor
- boost sensor
- exhaust gas temp sensor
- lateral accelerometer
- lap timing setup

Price: PM Me or Mac for quote

Most of these units include the water temp, oil temp, speed and rpm sensors. The accelerometer is built-in to some of the units. I included the oil pressure, boost and egt with the units because I figured it was what people would want to monitor. There are several other types of sensors available, including other pressure and temp sensors, displacement sensors, intertial sensors, etc. There are so many options with these it isn't even funny.

I know the prices look kind of expensive, but if you price out a full gauge setup from another company, you will realize what a deal these setups are. I think the best deals are the Mychron 3 gold or the MXL Strada.

These prices might still change a little, hopefully I will be able to drop them even more. The packages are offered at a greater discount than I originally offered. If you want something different or would like to change out sensors, please let me know and I can get you a price for it.

So everyone who expressed interest earlier, let me know. I really want to get this off the ground. Tell any of your friends about this offer. I know money is tight becuase it's the holiday season, but this is something that a lot of people could greatly benefit from for next season.

Let me know.

Tim

We have sent the Nissan protocol out to AIM sports for them to look over. I have not heard anything back yet, so this might be something we try on our end to attempt to get this to work. It doesn't seem to hard, but we won't know until we get the units. Since this is our initial buy-in, we won't get our first units until we place this order. So getting the dash to work with the factory ecu will be a project we are working on over the winter and then this will be an update that we will tell everyone once we figure it out.

so if i understand correctly, if i purchase now as is and once you find a way to link it with the ecu you then supply the buyers with the necessary stuff further down the road? or will we have to pay extra once you figure it out?

Mac just told me, that if you are in on the initial buy-in and if we figure out the ECU stuff, the parts needed to connect the two will be sent out to you for free.

We haven't set the deadline yet. Right now, we're waiting to see how many people are seriously interested, once we get the number we're shooting for, we'll probably give everyone a couple more days and then we'll place the order. I really want to get this order to AIM in the next week or so, but that depends on you guys.

Gavster, I responded earlier today, let me know if you have any more questions.

Alright guys, this deal is ending next Friday (12/15/06). We will need all the money up front so we can make sure the order ships out before Christmas. We talked to AIM earlier today and pretty much everything should be in stock.

We can accept paypal or credit cards.

I would like everyone who wants this to PM me with exactly what they want just so I can confirm the order and get you the correct price. I have everything written down, I just want to double check so we don't run into any problems after the order is placed.

As always feel free to contact me, PM or phone (215-855-5565, 2-10EST). Thanks guys.

PM's responded to. This is going through on Friday no matter what. We have the number of buyers that we need. But if can get a couple more we should be able to pass on more savings to you guys. So if you want to get something like this, now is the best time. These packages are going for almost 20% off list, which is almost 20% more off than you will see anywhere else. So let me know.
