Auto remove IMG tag when quoting

Like the title says, would it be possible to implement the feature that auto removes the IMG tag when quoting someone and leaves just the URL. This would cut down on load time I think, and it helps when n00bs quote a post with lots of pics. I don't know if this was discussed or suggested before, but I have seen it on other forums. Don't know if its possible in vBulletin.

decent suggestion, better if you could limit it to multiple picture quotes however, sometimes you want to quote one picture and have it show.
