M7960 TURBINE KIT
This model is designed for low to mid range torque characteristics. The response is immediate with the light use of the throttle. Max boost is achieved by 4000 RPM. Best suited for street tuned cars and weekend track machines. Great for drifting, and grip race applications, with the best driving characteristics.

M8270 TURBINE KIT
This model is designed for high power at high RPM. With full boost on the bench test at 4,500 RPM and will maintain it all the way to high RPM without dropping. This will best suit the dedicated track cars that need best power at high RPM.

We have installed several of these on a stock engine platform.
Most recently was a S13 SR20det with Head Gasket, Head Studs, 750cc Injectors, Z32 Maf Sensor, Tubular Manifold, 3" Exhaust, Front Mount, and ECU Tuned - The car made 318whp at 16PSI

^^^ this got me thinking... what is the biggest Turbo Tomei makes?
answer: M8280 for the 1jz... the SR is M8270

And why hasn't anyone went outside of the box on this yet and put the 8280 on a SR?

Thats correct the OEM Toyota Flange is different than the SR20 Flange.
The 8270 is a plenty capable turbo.
The JZ 8280 is a different compressor and exhaust housing as well.

We will be installing an 8270 on a S13 SR
with standard built bottom end, 264 Cams, springs and retainers.
750cc injectors and Power FC.
Tuning results will be posted afterwards.
