the car being low also makes night driving sucky.

i want to be comfortable driving at night. if i can help it, i wouldn't get it tinted. a blue side mirror would be best, but sadly there aren't any applications that fit an s14, and i heard that applying blue tint to a mirror is garbage.

legal tint is 70%vlt, and i've been told that's close to NOTHING. I don't want tickets either. I'm leaning toward 35%, and people have been telling me that they don't get bothered by cops for 35%.

so the questions are these:

1. is there a blue side mirror from some oem that fits the s14?
2. is there an auto-dimming center rear view mirror that utilizes the s14 roof mirror mount?
3. is the scratched glass polishable? any recommended shops?
4. I'm in nyc. would 35% tints get me in trouble? It should be okay in most cars, but 240s are small, loud, wide wheels, etc, everything to draw a cop's attention to it. Any experience? Pics? I'm in NYC, NJ/Clifton area.
5. Does anybody have pics of 70% tint? How is it? Does it at least block glaring headlights?
6. With either 35% or 70% tints, how is night driving on completely desolate roads with no streetlamps?

Whenever i go to start the 240 it will turn over for almost 20 secs before it starts and it will idle rough for a few... Whenever i go to start the 240 it will turn over for almost 20 secs before it starts and it will idle rough for a few seconds....however if i turn it over for only s second or 2 and stop, then try to start it again it fires right up and idles smooth...just wondering why it is being all strange like that.

Currently i have my egr blocked and aiv off with a nickle on each tube. would that have anything to do with it?? I don't imagine I would but you never know.

Also whenever i turn the key to the on position my wipers go across all slow and stupid, not sure if it is a wiring issue or just a crossed wire who knows. Not sure if it is related but something is also draining the battery, I would say alternator but the car isn't registered i only start it now and then to keep it alive....I know it is a lot of stuff but i am seeing if anyone has the same issues as these cars are old and have similar quirks and problems.

-koyorad aluminum radiator -Flex-o-lite dual electric fans (has a shrowed with a rubber seal that
runs around the circumference of the radiator...very nice)
-stock thermostat (never replaced)
-huge fmic (which i think blocks the airflow to the radiator)

but heres the weird part...
I have an aftermarket aurometer temp gauge which is installed in the upper radiator hose. when my sr starts to overheat, the gauge goes all the way up to 230*F, but the oem gauge stay right in the middle all the time. also everyonce in awhile it will go from 700-800rpm idle and sit right at 1500..and then it floods itself out and shutf off..then i sit there for about 10 mins to wait for gas to evap..then boom it will crank right up and shoots black smoke out..PLEASE help im moving soon and this is the way im gettin there

I go to install them and they wont fit in the perches unless you flip them upside down.

If you install them with the letters "megan racing" right side up, the flat part of the spring is on the bottom and it should be on the top like the OEM springs, so the top hat sits flat on top and the tapered end on the bottom for the spring to seat in the perch.

To anybody else that has installed the megan racing springs on there s14, have you done the same thing? Also my front end sits way higher in the front than the rear. I am debating keeping the bottom mount mani and going t28; however, i really like the look of a top mount and it seems easier to work on. If i went top mount i want to get a t3 probably 50 trim. I would like to have a quick street car and also may be using it in auto x and maybe a drift event or two. Also, i seen on ebay a t2 to t3 conversion flange and i was just wondering if that would be a good way to go on my t2 flange i already have.
