Ok let me make this as simple as possible:

Rebuilt motor 5k ago
New plugs (Ngk)
New plug wires (Ngk)
New distributor
New water pump
Motor ran perfect w

Car was in a recent accident. Radiator hit distributor cap and cracked it also crushed the plug. I replaced the whole distributor correctly (TDC). I took each wire that went into the plug and labeled them from top to bottom what wire goes to what pin, I then put new connectors on each pin and connected them individually. I checked all fuses and they are good. I took hoses off fuel rail and turned key gas came out of bottom hose, put them back tried to start car and got nothing. I then took out spark plug #1 put it close to shock tower to check for spark had a friend start it and it fired up, then I had him turn it off. I then put spark plug back in and tried to start turn it on it took a second but started idled around 600-650 if I remember correctly seems like it was about to stall. I let it idle for about 15 seconds and tried to hit has a little and it died out. Now its back to not starting.....

Any ideas. I checked all grounds also.

my compression test results, after the car warm up,open throttle and disable ignition/fuel pump and i got this

cyl test #1 210 #2 215 #3 210 #4 215,

this engine is a 1996 ka24de and i slam it into my 92 hatch

according to the manual the engines psi should be at 179? why is my engines 30 psi higher,

this is what the car has, s14 fuel rail, s14 tsp rewired, s14 coolant sensor rewired , s14 intake with rerouted vacuum lines /canceling swirl control and pulse air injection. two injectors are leaking, i get sluggish accel after 4000rpm, i might take pictures and a video for you guys to see.

more info that might help, new wires, dis rotor and cap, spark plugs gap at .44, fuel 91, new air filter, fuel filter has 60k mile on it 300zx fuel filter, also my o2 sensor has around 50k milies, i replaced it new,

if anyone has a 1996 obdII ka24de can i get a picture of your coolant sensor wiring from left to right, i wanan see if i wire my car right, and tps.

now my questions are,
why does the car have higher compression? and poor accelaration.

thanks for your help :D

when i simply coast (not applying the brake), my idles go from 3k to 700-800 (which i think is "normal")

i am thinking it's yet a vacuum leak somewhere, but i just wanted to see what some of you gurus thought about this. I'm no expert by any means.

hey guys, I'm having a big problem trying to get spark and fuel from my engine. Not sure what it could be. Trying to get some ideas going

ok so i tried doing a wire tuck and finished it. Not the greatest, but not the worst. I depinned and repinned all the plugs and wire back into place. (I took pictures of each one making sure i put them back in the right place) I grounded everything that was on the engine bay harness and on the chassis harness too. I just finished rebuilding my engine I set the timing with the CAS, but it says to align the notch with the orange dot. But I didn't have a orange dot, but I did it to the dot that looked like the one on heavythrottle website.
I double checked the my wiring with someone else on Nico who did a tuck and mine are pined back exactly like his.

I have already checked for power to the injectors and coils with my multimeter nothing. The fuel pump primes because you can hear it and my FPR gauge shows it going to 43 psi and drops down to 23 psi after it stops priming. I know the CAS works because when I have the car turned o the "on" position with the key and I plug the CAS plug in, you hear the fuel pump priming. I took the plug out of the MAF to throw it into limp mode, but still nothing.

I took the ECU apart checking for burn marks, seeing if the ECU might have burnt out, but nothing was burnt. I turned the car to "on" position and I check the ECU for power and there is power. I tried another friends ECU, though it's a tuned ECU, but should still be able to get the car to start, and the same thing happened. No spark no fuel.

So only thing I can think of is a bad ground, maybe a relay or fuse.
just trying to get some ideas going to see what else to test for.

Car: 89 coupe
Engine: S13 sr20det blacktop
Ecu: E5

thanks in advance.

Anyone know what this fuse is for? Car wont start wondering if that is the problem...

Car is trying to turn over but just wont start..... Going to check the fuse first. Car was in an accident the distributor cap was cracked and I replaced that, I am starting to think it wasnt just the cap and the whole distributor needs to be replaced.

The plug on the distributor also got crushed, but I wrote down what wire was on what pin on the distributor put new connectors on each wire and plugged them in on each correct pin.

This is a 97 it doesnt say what the fl45a fuse is for on the cover ..

Anyone know where a diagram is?

Motor is in perfect running condition it was rebuilt 5k miles before accident and ran even after the accident but was turned off right after accident. I heard something about the ECU on newer cars needs to be flashed so it will run, they do this to prevent further damage I dont know if this is true and if it is I dont know if it applies to this car.

Car has:
New plugs
New plug wires
Motor rebuilt 5k miles ago

Finally got that car running and everything but when i really step on it and start building boost, its not a smooth acceleration, its hesitating and hiccuping. Someone told me it could be the gas im using ( i first used arco then went to cheveron and used 91 octane at both places) or that it could be the ECU because it's not tuned for the t28. Im new to the SR20 and really need the help! Thanks in advance bros!!!! peace

Do I just leave the original pvc tube and placement??
Do I just leave the back tube that goes from the valve to the block alone???

This is what im sure of so far (dont mind the awesome mspaint)

SR20 Speedometer Issue

Trying to get my speedo to work and am going through the FSM.

It was a pain in the ass until I figured out that the ECU pinout in the FSM is different from the S13 SR ECU.

In the FSM the speed sensor is pin 53 and pin 32 for S13 ECU btw.

Anyways I tried to check the voltage from the ECU connector and could only achieve .6 volts not changing. So I figured either the VSS is bad or there is a short. I can't pull the sensor tonight so I am checking for a short. As I was following the wire from the speed sensor I saw this connector coming out of the harness and wasn't sure what it was for. It is yellow with a green stripe like the speed sensor so maybe it needs to be plugged in?

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...tt/carpart.jpg

I can't see if the wire runs directly to the connector because they both go into the harness.

I just looked again and the wires running from the VSS are green/orange and black wtf? I am so lost

UPDATE- Alright so I just went ahead and tried the volt meter on the wire running directly from the VSS and I got a fluctuation in volts when I spun the tire so I know the VSS is good. Means there must be a short or something somewhere, is there a way I can just bypass the ECU and everything and run it straight to the Speedo? Really wanna get this working

is thr anything else i could be missing to check????wut should my reading be after the cas? and how do i check that i dont kno wut it could be??when i move the cas by hand and the ignition on, i should i hear injectors click??? maybe harness???but if im getting power to all those things then my harness should be good rite???

Trying to figure out where to start. My redtop will start to burn coolant after its been warmed up for like 30mins. Like say i pull off the highway and get to a red light it will idle fine, but once I give it a little gas it starts to smoke white for a few seconds and bogs down til i get to about 2.5~3k rpm. My turbo has very little play so i dont think its that. I have a metal headgasket... So I would think that its not the headgasket because it starts fine cold and you would think since metal expands when hot it would be getting coolant in the cylinder cold... Its been raining today but tomorrow I'm going to pull the valve cover and check the torque on the head bolts. Anyone have any other ideas? I'll try to post some video of it acting up
