"Land of the Great" becomes "Land of the Generous" with the highest pay out ever in Georgia grassroots drifting. $1,000 dollar awarded for 1st place, payments through fourth place, and a total purse of $2,000. This will be a very exciting competition. The competition will take place immediately following the "Land of the Great" practice event. All drivers participating in the competition must be registered for "Land of the Great".

All cars must pass tandem tech requirements. Six point cage with driver side door bar, 4 pt min. harness, and approved fire suit.

Spectators $5.00
Ride-A-Long Pass $10.00 more

I'm running a new and exciting racing series here in SD and want to get more car and racing enthusiasts involved. This series will include two autocross events and one drag race at Barona. The idea is that everyone, no matter what car they drive, is limited to no less than a 300 treadwear tire. most people interested and signed up are running something in the 300-400 tw range. I even have some people interested in racing with a rental car. Some are jokingly calling this "Ice racing". but this makes it possible for a regular person with regular street tires in a street setup or stock car to be competitive in a legal sanctioned racing event. Unlike the SCCA class where you are only competitive with a sticky R compound...

The first 2 races are autocross at Qualcomm. In the first race final positions based on your best lap time out of 4 or more of the day, (this is so the 1st timers don't get smoked completely because of mistakes, they only need one good run, all the slower times get deleted).

The second autocross is all runs combined into one time(includes all cone penalties etc.), rally style. This forces you to drive constantly and not make mistakes.

The drag race scoring includes the reaction time so a more skilled driver in a slower car can still compete with a faster car with a less skilled driver.
Lastly, there is a burnout contest, the winner will receive a trophy!


The website listed below has all the specifics - rules, prizes, schedule, and a member forum. Log in and post pics of your car and introduce yourself. Even if you don't plan on entering, I would humbly ask for volunteers and sponsors to help with the event, as this is just for personal enjoyment and the enjoyment of others, non-profit, as all the proceeds go to the winnings and the personalized trophies. The winner will receive a cash purse starting at $300, that number will go up as entries and sponsors, donations increase.

please help me spread this info around, tell your friends, even those with Hondas, Kias, Fords, Geos, whatever; and your nemesis tell them this is where you prove your car/driving skills are all that, instead of just talking $#!+ about it. The Race of Champions comes to the Bird's Nest in Beijing China next week and this one will feature the top names from the world of Motorsports battling it out in a super special format for national and individual honors.

Representing Team USA will be Rally America champ Travis Pastrana and Formul Drift champ Tanner Foust. Last year, Foust knocked out current F1 champ Jenson Button in one of the rounds and we're pretty sure that Button will be looking for payback this year.

Other teams to look out for in the Nations Cup will be the Team Finland with Mikko Hirvonen and Marcus Gronholm and Team Germany featuring Michael Schumacher and rising F1 star Sebastian Vettel. One name absent from the rooster this year is last year's winner Sebastien Loeb. Sorry for short notice, but we are going to hold our last event of DAI'S DRIVING ACADEMY at INLAND DRFIT, Lake Perris, Riverside.
Since INLAND DRIFT does not have many restrictions as El Toro had, please come and enjoy the event, or come with your tent to show your products, either way.
All supporters can put used JDM parts on MINI SWAP MEET at no charge as well.

DAI'S DRIVING ACADEMY FINAL 2009 - DRIFT ONLY
DAI'S ACADEMY IS COMING BACK ON NOV. 7, at INLAND DRIFT, Lake Perris, Riverside.
Since El Toro is not allowed for DAI'S ACADEMY, this year-closing event for drift only is going to be supported by INLAND DRIFT.
DAI is coming to attend this event and drift with his CELICA '73 with SR20DET, and we have SPECIAL GIFT of one ORIGINAL JAPANESE DVD, a choice from VIDEO OPTION, DRIFT TENGOKU or STREET LEGAL, $30 Value at Japanese Book Stores, for all participating drivers.
Also MINI SWAP MEET for JDM parts, used or scratched, is open for everybody, drivers, guests, and staffs. Anyone can put 5 items at $10.00 flat rate handling fee. D's Club will handle all sales transactions, and cash will be back at the end of the event for cash sales, and a check of 90% value of sales price will be sent in the following week in case of credit card sales.
(Entry fee for INLAND DRIFT is $5.00 per pserson, except participating drivers. Come and enjoy the year-end DAI'S DRIVING ACADEMY and MINI SWAP MEET.)

FOR ALL DRIFT DRIVERS:

Please be prepared with 60psi in your tires. This makes your drifting much easier.

At: INLAND DRIFT, Lake Perris, RIVERSIDE

Instructors: Dai Inada & More (to be decided)

Collaboration: Shogun Style Performance (Matt Monaco, Course Management), Garage SR MotorCars(Steve Rogers, Tech Inspection), H&D Racing(Hiroki Miyaji)

TIME TABLE: 8:00AM Registration start at the registration tent. All drivers receive one of
Japanese DVD(OPTION VIDEO, DRIFT TENGOKU or STREET
LEGAL as own choice)
9:00AM Opening meeting at the course, instructors, staff introduction
　　　　　　 9:10AM Course and Driving Guide for all drivers
NOON-1:00PM Lunch time, no driving at courses except event staffs
4:00PM Closing meeting

COURSES: Beginner Drift Courses (Skid Pad, Figure 8 & Short Course)
Intermediate & Advanced Course for Drifting

SAFETY ISSUES:

Please wear HELMET.
LONG SLEEVE SHIRT and Gloves are recommended.
Do not enter driving course area for watching or photo/movie shooting.
CLOSE WINDOW WHEN DRIVING.

TIRE SERVICES:

Available at INLAND DRIFT tire services. Not free, but very reasonable.

MINI SWAP MEET:

All participants, staffs, and guests can participate at the flat rate of $10.00 for each 5 items as handling fee. Sales transaction will be handled by D’s Club. Cash will be back at the end of the event for items sold in cash, and items sold by credit card will receive a check for 90% of the value sold in mail in the next week.

FOOD & DRINK SERVICES:

INLAND DRIFT will have lunch and drink available.

DIRECTIONS TO INLAND DRIFT AND REGISTRATION:

Get off #215 Freeway at Ramona Expy, take east bound, and turn left at Center Street. Entry gate is located at right side. All participant drivers will not need to pay entrance fee of $5.00.
All guests and support staff need to pay $5.00.

ROUND 6 IS COMING UP SOON! the FINAL ROUND in the comp series!


This will be TD's LAST skidpad event of the year, so if you need seat-time before the fulltrack on November 15th, Saturday will be your only opportunity!

So, the deal is... as usual,

PRACTICE ON SATURDAY - COMP ON SUNDAY

here's the not-so-usual deal:

Due to the fact that the mustache-style fulltrack is coming up VERY soon after the competition, TD would like to extend a discount of $25 to all drivers attempting to make it to both events. This means, if you come to the competition on the 8th, your entry for the mustache drift will be $175 (with mustache of course).

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING ON SATURDAY'S OPEN-PRACTICE DAY:

There's a discount for you too! except, there's no requirements for redeeming it, you just have to come drift! Instead of the usual $100 entry ($40 pre-reg, $60 at the track), we're going to give it to you for just $80. Please note that we are testing a theory here, so if TONS of you don't show up, the price won't stay there. The ONLY way for us to keep this business running at $80 entry fees is to have LOTS of participants. This will be an excellent event whether you're a first-timer or just need to shake-down a new setup. Come on out!
