things are moving along guys though nothing new to say right now. As soon as they are done they will start shipping.

Its only been about 8-10 days since this ball started to roll guys. LOL

Remember I said the initial run would be a 3-4 week deal. After that things will be quicker.

Thats cool, ok folks a little more updates in the description department.

This mount is going to look a lot like the stock factory mount. In fact it will farther in being a proper trans mount than any of the other mounts out there.

In discussions on the build of this mount we came to the conclusion that the top plate besides having a folded over part with studs for the exhaust mount it should be folded over on the backside as well. Indeed the bottom plate will have folded over edges as well to position it on the trans crossmember much like the factory one. There will be Urethane poured and molded between these plates.

The idea is to give a unit that does not just bolt to the top of the trans crossmember but fits on it like Nissan did with the factory mount. Of course along with a exhaust bracket hanger studs for the bracket.

hopefully I can get some pics out of a mockup with a few of the folded plates in a week and a half.

My metal guy got backlogged a few weeks due to being sick. So yes there is a delay but things should be all good in about 2 weeks. I will possibly be putting up a drawing of the prototype in the next day or so.

Sorry for the delay guys but good things always seem to take longer. It will be well worth the wait.

Wonder how this mount will compare to the peaks performance mount. I like the idea of an exhaust bracket. What's the durometer of the urethane being used for this?

Actually for all the LS1 guys there is actually a local guy with a certain other companies LS kit running my engine mounts.

I am going with a 70 durometer. It does not need to be as stiff as the engine mounts. I will not directly compare it to any other manufacturer. I will say that it will exceed any aftermarket trans mount out at this time. Its just not a hunk of urethane with some bolts. It will actually have a top and bottom plate.

actually there were no replies because I was waiting on hearing from my metal guy. Here is the news, the Metal parts are done as of today. I had to make 25 pieces of the metal. Ya a lot more than 5-10 like I had originally thought.

Anyways they are done and we are now in the process of making the mold and pouring. At this time we are looking at about a week and half more before the first pieces will roll out. Now I do ship priority mail so you can expect about a 2-3 day delivery time from when the first pieces roll.

I appreciate everyone's patience in this, it did take longer than expected but in the end you are going to be very happy with results. I should have the first pieces in about a week and a half and pics will be posted of them.

ok as promised here are some pics and the run will be done by next thurs.

Oh and thanks to the 8 people who prepaid. They got a special deal the new introductory price is $110 and will stay that way for the next month after that it will go up to the regular retail price of $130 per trans mount or $240 for a set of engine and trans mount. As always shipping will be on top. which will be $16 for the single mount and $17 for the combo.

this is the prototype one and the exhaust studs were not in in these pics.

Now I will explain to you why this is so. Which I posted in the review thread. The cost of making these wound up being more than I expected due to my desire to deliver the best trans mount on the market for the 240sx.

Materials wise this is not an inexpensive mount to make.

Fact is no one offers a trans mount that is quality wise equal to what a oem would make but upgraded for our cars.

I just got off the phone with my urethane guy and all 25 sets, Yes not 10 but 25 sets!! Will be done by next monday for my pickup and shipping.

Yes I was expecting to be shipping this week unfortunately I am not. Though you will be getting yours shortly and moving forward there will no longer be long term delays.

I want to thank the initial people who invested into this help make it happen it was a lot more costly than expected but its worth it.

Yes folks the trans mounts are shipping though I have a lot of orders to fill so some will not get out till later in the week. Its already been a busy day.

Oh and yes for anyone that wants to know yes I do have more trans mounts in stock. Yes they are $110 plus shipping which will be $16. I cannot fill any more engine mount orders as of today as I had to make more of the engine mounts which will be done by friday.
