Trader Rating: (12) Feedback Score: 12 reviews | ![]() My Setup 1995 S14 KA24DE w/ 130,000 miles SR T25 Turbo @ 8LBS 370cc Injectors ARP Head Studs N60 MAF Enthalpy Tune FMIC Front Mount Intercooler Innovate Wideband EGR Deleted After 3 hours of fine tuning on an SAFC II before I upgraded to Enthalpy, it blew the head gasket. I changed the head gasket and got a larger MAF along with an Enthalpy tune. I drove it for a couple weeks and it started making a noise that sounded like an exhaust leak. Then it started smoking out of the crank case ventilation. Then it started blowing oil out of the CCV. Then it started dying when i took it out of gear without giving any throttle. Then i stopped driving it for good. : D I tore it all apart today and found that this time it was ring lands. 3 out of 4 pistons had completely destroyed ring lands and bent rings. I'll be building an S13 engine for this car with Supertech Forged Pistons 89.5mm and ARP rod bolts. This problem has nothing to do with Enthalpy or their tune because the AFR's were great no matter what was happening, one of the best tunes I have ever experienced. No hiccups or wierd issues, just to make that clear. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
