Turbo Manifold Question

So I'm very close to assembling and putting my turbo into my car but I got a turbo manifold that has a brass fitting coming out of it. Now I've been wondering what that fitting is supposed to connect to? Is it supposed be an emission related thing or what? The turbo manifold in question is this one.

Yeah I planned on just plugging it up anyway, I just wanted to know why it was put there in the first place. When I was looking at other turbo manifolds some of them don't have that fitting there and some others do. I'm just curious what its purpose was for being there.

Put the stock manifold on, and thank us later.

No cracking
Better spool up
Reliable
Easy
Fitment
etc etc etc

If you need external gate, send me a PM...if you want the best setup, Extrude Hone and Swain Coat it...still cheaper than a name brand crack-a-fold.

But its for a ka, not a sr so stock mani is out of the question. You are however better taking the advice in not getting that one or reselling it and getting one in the $600-1000 range because that one will most likely crack. If you dont want to spend that much you should get a log as it will at least last.
From what i have seen from tuning others cars, the ka really does like a t3 flanged turbo and unless i was happy making under 300hp i would not consider anything but a topmounted t3 turbo.

Having to make new downpipes each manifold design change you go to when one cracks is how you can justify buying a good one in the first place.

Its for an exhaust temp sensor. I bought mine from FRSport and they called to ask what it was for and they said exhaust temp but the manifold is an old design. Just plug it up since it's too close to make any decent readings

I had a turbo KA ten years ago in my Altima, was a fun girl. I'd love to (daydreaming) have another U13 and put a t28 setup on it for daily driving
