I been having problems with the idle on my rb25det neo 6. i would start the car and the idle would be at 4rpm soo I adjusted the TPS sensor and my idle is normal. but when i try to drive the car. i can reach about 20mph in 1st gear but when i shift to second gear the gas pedal does not work anymore the engine gives out the idle drops to 1rpm i can press the gas pedal to the floor and nothing will happen. . When i drive in first gear after about 3.5rpm the gas pedal does not work anymore the car just gives out and jerks then comes back to life again after the rpm drops below 3. We checked everything and we cannot find the solution. The one thing is im using a rb25det MAF. should i be using a rb25det NEO 6 MAF? all the wiring and everything is done correct. the engine revs perfectly fine when its not in gear.

What color is the sticker? Green? If so then that is an RB20/25 Series 1 MAFS (J60) you need the R34 NEO MAFS.

Neo MAFS are Pink Tagged E61's

I actually have an RB25 NEO MAFS that was given to me in my Engine Set Incorrectly,
Ive been trying to find a Green Sticker J60 MAFS.

Wanna Trade???

EDIT: How did you wire up the Green tagged MAFS? The plugs are different.

If Sileighty falls through, just go to the junk yard and get one off an Infiniti I30, they have the same pink label MAF.

The sticker on my MAF is pink. Could the MAF still be the problem?

The voltage is at 2v at 5000rpm. is this the correct voltage for a rb25det?

MAF might be dirty, Clean it with CRC MAFS Cleaner and see if that helps.

Or break open the FSM and test it accordingly

i still have my ka24 MAF. Can i test that? or will it not give the same reading its smaller and doesnt fit in the intake.
