| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | Sr2o Spark Plugs... I have check on the search thing and was getting different answers. Enjuku says the heat range 6 is good for stock turbo up to 12psi. Others say to use the heat range 7 if your boosting your stock turbo over the stock 7psi. LMK which is better... perferably people with experience. ![]() |

| premium bullsh!t sifter ![]() | Did you upgrade your turbo? If not and it's a daily, BKR6EIX. Yes iridium. The main factor for me is superior heat dissipation and longevity of the spark plug. oh btw: feel free to search... ~m

I'm running a stock 14 turbo at 14psi with no issues on 6's, if you want 7's then get them. Your not going to notice a difference.

![]() ![]() ![]() If you have too hot of spark plugs your car will do 1 of two things; either blow up from detonation or run like shit because the computer will sense that it's knocking and pull timing and dump fuel to keep the motor safe.

| premium bullsh!t sifter ![]() | Typically, for every 75-100 hp you add, you should go one step colder on the spark plug's heat range. Also, a poor tune that leads to higher cylinder temps may require a colder range plug (improper fix but often performed). Many other factors such as, engine speed, load, Air/fuel mixer, fuel type/quality, timing, compression ratio, turbo size and even air temperature and pressure must be examined when considering a colder or hotter (rare to go hotter) spark plug heat range. So when you ask "LMK which is better..." you need to consider these factors listed above and come up with a solution that best fits your application. Remember, changing the heat range of a plug should not be based on "LMK which is better...". It should be based on the spark plug firing end temperature. End temps must be kept low enough to prevent pre-ignition, but high enough to prevent fouling. This is called “Thermal Performance”, and is determined by the heat range selected. IMO you will be fine with a heat range of 6 or 7 on an engine near factory power ratings, tuned to factory settings and do not see higher RPM's for long periods of time. If you run your engine very hard often, consider 7. Selecting spark plug conductive material is a personal choice as (Norm expressed). Selecting the heat range for optimum "Thermal Performance" is not a personal choice, its a requirement based on your engines needs... ~m

| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | Ummmm ok .... S13 Redtop Stock t25 Greddy RSPL FMIC Kit Walbro 255 AEM Tru Boost (10psi-12psi) Like I said Enjuku says to run the 6 with stock turbo up to 12psi and a lot of people have been saying to run the 7 with anything higher then the stock boost level on the t25. Hence why I'm asking which is better... Ill go with the 7 just to be safe thanks for yalls help and I did use the search button and thats where I found different opinions. Next time read. |

I read it the first time. Continue to search... ![]() Don't be discouraged. I still use the search feature, sometimes to confirm what I already know and what kind of experience one would have been through on a specific topic. Think of it as constantly comparing notes, because the game does change from time to time. GL to you and your 7's! ~m
