car runs wierd

hows everyone doing this fine day? ok heres my problem i just did a motor swap to my 93 fast back. just a kade same year as car. i keep running into problems first was the fuel injecter. swapped it out. know its not responding to the throttle. when i give it gas it seems like it wants to cut off. as if it has an air leak but ive looked and have been trying to hear for one as well. but nothing. the car starts up ok but after a few seconds it chokes itself off. now i can still drive the car but drives like crap. and after awhile starts to over heat. any ideas looking for a fresh perspective.

Have checked the ignition timing? Unplug TPS sensor to put computer in base timing then check.

Timimg was good. And i realized what it was something went wrong with the walbro fuel pump i installed. I went ahead and installed the original one and worked great. Didnt expect it to be the fuel pump cause it was brand new. But i guess even brand new things sometimes have deffects. But heres another quistion for you zilvians would a faulty fuel pump cause the car to over heat. Cause thats what was also happening. And i googled it and nothing came out. So just for future reference.

Sounds like it was running too lean. That's probably why it dies when you open the throttle. Let it run enough when it is too lean and it will overheat. Not all of the fuel in the cylinder is burned, some of it carries heat out of the engine.
