300rwhp sr20?

I know its doable, but how? possible on the stock turbo? and do you need to upgrade fuel pump, injectors at the level?

No

The stock T25, nor the T28 will ever get you anywher close to 300 WHP (on a real dyno at least)

You will need a GT2871R at least

i dont doubt your knowledge but i doubt your answer...what dyno do you consider a real dyno?

i've seen gt28r and gt28rs turbos make that amount of power on a mustang dyno and i think it was a dynojet dyno...but i'm just curious as to which is a "real" i guess truly accurate dyno.

Dyno Dynamics

Mustang Dyno

However when compared side by side the mustang dyno is still far inferior.

Dyna Packs read at the hubs which is much less rotational mass and also just reads more in general. not to mention the dyna-packs OVERHEAT before you can really do any serious steady state tuning.

Dynojets are a giant Drum with no ability to adjust load to accurately match the car on the chassis dyno. its a one size fits all approach and you cannot tune anything else in the map effecively except for full throttle plow through acceleration (effectively drag runs). You cannot even access 80% of the cells in the map you drive in normally to actually fine tune the map

nah dont just do that you will carmelize your pistons like butter, rebuild the bottom end, deck hone resurface and then turbo nicely with 450 cc's and a boost controller and you should get 300 nicely and well done.

hell people run 300 whp on stock ka24 internals lol

i heard composite stock/felpro headgaskets hold up well for 300 whp so a metal hg shouldn't be entirely necessary

ive made 350whp on stock HG and head bolts and never had a problem..

gt2871r .64, 555cc injectors, z32 maf, chipped ecu with all of the little bolt ons and you have 330whp.... next thing in the way of making power is cams. if you do cams please get valve springs. I recommend BC for cams and springs.

injectors, 2871r, z32 maf, 255 fuel pump with a power FC will get you there, internals are all fine as is, at MOST i would recommend a head gasket and head studs, but i know plenty of people runnin 300 with out it.

Honestly tunning is key on this. I made 300whp and 300 lbs/tq with 550's Aem ems 3.5 bar map sensor and BPU's. This was on a s14sr20det stock turbo at 18psi. So its very very possible and thats with 11.2 afr's. Just find a good tuner.

yeah but it aint made to last and its risky, i prefer to be safe rather than sorry and something that nicely rebuild offcourse will make more power!

I would do the GT2871r, Apexi metal head gasket, HKS SARD or Nismo 550cc injectors, ARP head studs, and get it tuned. 300hp can be had without doing the head studs and head gasket, but it will help to ensure reliability.

you can use a small turbo or a big turbo for 300whp. The difference will be in the spool/transient response and the safety margins per whatever fuel you're running.

A 50 trim t3/t4 will make 300whp in it's sleep on low boost...while being damn near it's peak in compressor efficiency...which means that the margins for error on pump gas are much larger. Detonation threshold his much farther. The larger t3 turbine housing and wheel also help to decrease backpressure in the topend.

You can hit 300whp on a 28r....and it'll have insane response...but the safety margins on pump gas are much smaller.

The beauty of a bigger turbo is that you can always crank the boost up when you get tired of a specific power level. It's nice to have room to play with a turbo. Don't get too big of a turbo...but don't get a tiny one either.
