| My KA injectors will not open I've asked this on 2 other forums but seems that nobody cares or no one knows but maybe zilvia can help. I recently rebuilt by ka back to stock, deleted emmisions, ac etc. before i pulled it didn't start and i didn't know why. So it will start with starting fluid, its getting spark and timed close w/o timing light obviously (won't idle) Fuel pump turns on and gets fuel through rail (took off return line) I took out the rail with everything hooked up and injectors just won't open. get 12v constant power but their not switching ground. also tried noid testers and no light came on. i've tried switching the relay with a relay i know is good, tried almost every ground straight to the battery, ordered a new ignition control module but couldn't order the right one from my local auto parts store anyone have some advice, somthing i haven't tried, maybe crank angle sensor(but i have spark) i'm out of ideas and don't usually know where to start with wiring and electrical. Can i test the cas with a multimeter? | |

| @RPSport.net! ![]() | Switching the relay? The injectors should get 12v to one pin via the eccs relay @ key on. Then the other wire goes directly to the ecu, and the ecu grounds that wire to open the injector. So bad ecu maybe? Or is this an S14 motor? Maybe the crank sensor is bad.

| no it is an s13 ka. yeah i knew it switched through the ecu but didn't know exactly how it did it i guess. i was thinking crank sensor anyway but i get spark so idk. could the crank sensor go bad and still give spark but not open the injectors? | |

| If you have spark, but no injector pulse I think you should look at the cam sensor in the dist. The ignition module tells the computer crankshaft revs. and the cam sensor sync's the injector timing. Also check maf, I don't think it will start if bad. I think maf voltage on signal return should be about 1.2 volts. I am at home so I can't look it up. | |

| ok that sounds legit. i can check that maf voltage, i'm sure its in the fsm. but i just bought a parts car that ran but they messed up the timing and broke the cam and some valves. so the cas should be good in it. i also have the ecu. so i'm gonna try those first thing in the morning and post an update. | |

| put in the new ignition control module cas and ecu from the parts car and those didn't work either. i also have a viper alarm system in there from the previous owner that i'm too afraid to touch and try and unwire ha but its just the brain part not the sensors or whatever else is supposed to be there. you think this could be doing it? never had a problem before with it no matter how many times i took out the battery or anything. | |
