KA SChool me on KA blocks

can anybody tell me if there is a difference between the single cam block to the dual cam?

if so what is it?

and could they be interchanges with no or minor modification?


i searched threads and google so i dont want no sht for search it =]

There are a few differences in the block.

Oil galleys are slightly different.

E block may not have oil squirters

E and DE lower timing chain guides and mounting may be different

The mounting pads and holes (for brackets) on the outside of the block may slightly differ from E to DE.

These are just a few of the possible block differences. Many other differences are present such as oil pump, front cover, timing chain and components, crank, pistons and the obvious top end etc...
