Apexi PowerFC+AVCR+MAP Sensor which harness?

so i have my powerfc djetro for my cars engine which uses the same boost control kit/sensors as the s13 sr20...i.e. we use the same maf sensors, injectors, etc...

i was told if i use an AVCR as my boost controller but buy some harness, i can still have my powerfc read boost levels? anyone got any info?

i know this harness is in the boost control kit that my motor and the sr20det's share.

PFC and the AVCR will come with their own sensors and harness. PFC will plug into the stock engine harness and will come with a seperate wiring harness to plug in the MAP sensor and air temp sensor iirc. The AVCR will have its own seperate harness and will have its own set of sensors.

The AVCR is completely seperate unit from the PFC. I think you're confused about something. Sounds to me like you're talking about using your PFC to do boost control too. Yes, the PFC can do boost control, you have to buy the boost control kit seperately. All it will come with is an extra harness and a boost actuator. The PFC will use the sensor it already has (MAP sensor) to tell the boost level and control the actuator to change your boost.

The boost controller program thats built into the PFC is very basic but its not as great as any stand alone boost controller out there. What it will ultimately come down to is your preferance. I had a seperate boost controller but I wanted to clean up my setup a bit so I got rid of it and run the PFC boost controller.

^^^ He's correct. I'm running the same setup (D-Jetro, AVCR) The D-Jetro comes with a boost sensor since it runs on pressure opposed to air flow. With the AVCR, you will need a separate boost sensor that comes with the retail kit(you do have to wire it into your harness for power ground ect.).
