ok well i was researching on the net. and what i got about the whole thing is the 1jz CAM has a higher lift. maybe thats what he meant. but anyone seen it? JUN 300° High Lift Camshaft for Nissan L20 L24 L26 L28 Engine heres one of the links of what i was going through i wish i saved some of the other links but i cant find it anymore but surly the cams do fit eachother since this cam is applicable on both engine. so with high lifts on the cam i wonder wat it puts out. anyone know anything bout this?

Wait wait, why would he want to put a Toyota head into a Nissan bottom end. To make it better, they are generations apart in engine design. Absolutely nothing will line up.

Anyways, if you want an idea on how much fabrication you'll need. Do a search around google, there was a guy who modified KA24DE head into a L-series bottom end. YES, a 4 cylinder head into a I-6 bottom end. He mated 2 KA heads to make 1 6 cylinder head.

Why not just swap in a complete 1JZ?

i dont know exactly what he's gonna do but he told me hes gonna try and combine the 1jz and l28 so yeah. monday morning ill try and get him to tell me exactly and record it on youtube if u guys want. or pictures or watever im just curious how it works out thats y i created this thread. he may hav to custom fabricate stuff to. so yeah he works as a auto tech teacher now so yeah monday-friday is the only time i get to see him if im not busy. and please keep the rude remarks. it may be an epic fail or maybe sumthin else. More info on my teacher is that he kinda moves slow working with his project since he's a teacher in a high school now. so it may take a while before he finishes.

Being someone who's actually done this style swap. I found out certain DOHC mustang heads fit on older bmw's. I just lucked up that all the headbolts aligned. So that's like the first 10% of the job. The rest involves connecting the crank to the cams reliably and some front cover fabrication. It's a clusterfuck of a process

This thread will not go anywhere productive.
The presented idea will NEVER work, NEVER.
And members here will never NOT flame anyone for such an asinine idea.
