SR20 wont rev over 3k

I just finished my SR swap and i took it out only to find out it wont go over 3k in gear. if its in neutral it will go over that but on the road it just bounces off 3.
Could it be a problem with my lower harness wiring? my motor is from an AT so i just got 3 wires going to the plugs on the tranny an had no idea what they go to so i grounded the ground and put the other 2 straight to power.

I have been searching for hours and havnt found anything to really help

I find it hard to believe you searched for hours and haven't found any mention of limp mode. Something is amiss with your mass air flow meter. The computer doesn't see it. Fix it instead of doing something stupid like installing a SAFC with a z32 maf (cause you were gonna need it anyway)

MAF, or MAF wiring.

Best of luck.
