SR sr20det atf in power steering?

hey, recently my friend did a swap on my car, the power steering started leaking, so i took the top of the reservoir and checked out the level, it was bone dry, i ran my fingers around the sides and noticed it was PINK, like AUTOMATIC transmission fluid?

so, what ended up happening, was i tightened all my hoses, and im debating weather putting my automatic dex/merc tranny fluid in my power steering, i have heard of this but is this OKAY/SAFE? to do on a sr20det redtop? the canister is from a sr front clip everything is OEM.

please help. thanks. ZILVIA>!

the FSM calls for ATF Dexron type. so yes, it is the correct way to do it. dont use PS fluid, over time it could fuck up your PS system
