Need Help with my single cam.

so, im driving around and I get a check engine light. I stop on a red light while the car is in idle and noticed immediately that the rpms dropped down almost to a zero and the car started to shake a lil. I was thinking it might be the fuel delivery or carbs. I pulled over checked everything and couldnt find a problem. Also, when I turned it back on it started to shake again, so i turned it back off and then on again and it started up and worked fine. It's been like this two days now and the check engine light would come on and off. It sounds fine, there is no transmission lag, i dont smell anything and car is working how it was before, which was good.

thanks for any help.

haha same thing happened to me. The check engine light goes on randomly, then the car decides to stop and shake randomly. haha then the check engine light goes off.. then same thing happens again. I noticed that when you touch the intake, the car shakes, so i replaced something one the intake. I'll ask may dad what part we replaced to make sure, but I know it has something to do with the air flow and temperature.

I have an after market intake to. In between my intake filter and the piping, i have a part that comes from the stock intake, that's where the problem was.
