| Premium Member | I took my 240 to a local shop almost 4 weeks ago for a SR swap, and they still aren't finished. I am just wondering should it really be taking this long for a basic engine swap when they had the engine in stock? |

| sc240's ![]() | Other than wiring, it takes about a half hour to drop an SR in. Seriously. You could easily be done in a day if all your doing is fmic/piping and a few other basic mods. Wiring if you know what your doing, and a shop should, wouldn't take too long either. Go get your money back, send your harness off to someone reputable if your not comfortable doing it. Rent/borrow/buy a hoist drop the motor in, wire it up and your good to go. Obviously it's a little more complicated than that, but not much.

| Leaky Injector ![]() | I see you are in Ohio Mr. Poster....I used to associate with a guy who was involved with a shop in the Ohio area...Defcon you may have heard. At any rate, what is the name of the shop/person performing the work? If your experience is anything like mine, you won't see the car back for approx. 1 year. I ended up just basically redoing all the work anyway with help from a couple key people. Like everyone else who has been through this whole process, just try to DIY!!! If you have the tools/garage space/time, then you have no excuse! We have all the knowledge here, just search, search, read, and ask ?s man. |

| dicks also fuck assholes ![]() | Your right, it shouldnt take nearly that long. I would never pay someone to do the wiring after doing it myself. just follow the guides on heavythrottle and frsport and its cake. my engine started 1st crank |
