| Sometimes the oil gets way too hot in my S14, i can hear it bubbling. does this mean something's wrong with my engine or do i just need an oil cooler? I've been told SR20s have oil cooling problems from factory but seems pretty strange to me. my engine is pretty much stock so i don't see what could be abnormally heating my oil. EDIT: also how much of an effect does using different oils have on the temp? i'm going to use magnatec 10w40 on my next change, what do other people use in their SRs?

| Shut Yo Muthafucking Mouth!!! ![]() | How the hell do you hear the oil bubbling?!?! I can understand you hearing your coolant boiling but not oil...get an oil temp gauge, if youre oil temp gets pass 110, you might wanna think about investing on some oil cooler. Oil starts breaking down once it starts hitting 120-130 oil temp range, all dependent on what kind/brand oil it is.
