Smoking and oil?

Hey everyone, I have a quick question for you all.

I put a t25 turbo on my KA and I got it running fine at 7psi and all but I just recently quit driving it because started to smoke and spit oil from the valve cover breather (I had no hose or anything on the fitting yet, I got a catch can now).

I know this is kind of a dumb question but does anyone know why all of a sudden its doing it and if its really anything to worry about? Ive been searching online on and off when Im off work but Im not really finding a lot that sounds like my problem.

Any help is appreciated, thanks a lot guys!

Oil spewing from the VC breather valve is a sign of Blow-By (Worn out rings)
or the PVC Valve is stuck.

Do a compression test to see if your rings are still good

Send a message via AIM to Massimo Power
Its blow by odds are your motor was already slowly dieing and you went on a put a turbo on it and now it shows by the blow by.

like stated above do a compression test and see if the numbers are good. Do a search for good numbers. If they are way off.. then rebuild time.. or.. sr20 time..

where did you put your catch can? it should be on the vacum side of the pcv sys not on the breather side. change your pcv and mount the catch can between the pcv and the intake manifold.
