Power output.

My brother has a 1991 Nissan 240sx. His engine has two camshafts. He would like to have more power. The Japanese front clip costs 2500 dollars. Should he forget about the Japanese engine and turbocharge his current engine ?

um im lost what do you wana no about front body kit????? or the hole front of the car clip and he has a KA24DET yes you can turbo it but it would be less wrk and about the same amount of money to get an sr20det which is turbo'd allready and has more potential than that KA24DET will ever have!

I will reformulate my question. With 2500 dollars, should I buy a Japanese engine or should I turbocharge the original motor ?

The reason why I started this thread was to know if my brother could reach the power output of a stock SR20DET with 2500 dollars to spend on his current engine which is the KA24DE.

Turbo Charging a 17 year old engine.....I see bad thing happening.

Your better off buying an Engine that comes Turbo Charged and basically a Drop in engine swap

Turbo Charging that current KA will more than likely shit itself soon after boosting it especially if you dont know what your doing

So really you'll send less money buying an SR, Cuz you end up having to rebuild the KA with better parts to make it more reliable to handle more than 9psi of boost

Dont buy a clip its a waste of money unless your gonna convert the Car to RHD.

Panda Garage has SR Engine Sets for 2,050
Or JHotimports for 1,700

Turbo Charging an NA engine leads to a life of head aches unless you do it right, FULL REBUILD

Choose Wisely
