ive two motors from JMI.

first was redtop, mint, lasted till i sold the car.
second blacktop, lasted about 20 mins.
they are cheap and you usually get what you pay for

Every swap I've ever seen had at least something wrong or missing.

It's the nature of the beast.

I paid for an 'uncut' harness, yeah right, and my dick is 'huge.'

japanese engine import is the only company i reccomend. they are good at making sure you have everything and work to make sure you are happy. they are the only ones local to me, their prices are fantastic for what you get. and they are honest. i've dealt with over 10 motors from them, one of wich was a 4agze for my corolla. all fantastic. but they are in sterling VA, if you are worried about shipping.

EDIT:
Here's the link to their page.

www.japaneseengineimport.com

good luck.

I know they aren't on your list but I had a great experience with JHot. My friend has ordered several motors from them as well. There was an issue with one of them and they completely refunded his money and handled the problem exactly how he wanted it to be done.

Plus 2200 shipped for a S14 SR with full SMIC, ignitor, CAS, 3" down pipe, fuel pump, shifter, hks filter, uncut harness and ecu is a steller deal IMO.

If you can find an importer that you can drive to...thats what I would recommend. Its always better to go pick your own engine. That way you can see the condition of it first had, get a compression test and atleast know what your getting yourself into.
