Electric Fan problems

Hey guys, i'm new here and this is my first post. I have a 1993 nissan 240sx with a stock KA motor. Here is my problem. My electric fan ( the one in between the radiator and the main fan) broke. When i say broke i mean the arms holding the fan to the radiator literally snapped. yesterday i put another electric fan on as a replacement (this fan was used) and today the exact same thing happened. The arms snapped again. This happened during throttle up and moderate-heavy acceleration. Has anyone ever heard of this happening or has this ever happened to any of you?

Thanks, Adam.

never heard of that, but it's just the A/C fan for when the car is stopped in hot weather/traffic. if you don't have A/C or traffic etc you'd be fine with out it.

better than having it fall back into the clutch fan O.o

something is probably loose. might be hitting the clutch fan. have you been hearing any weird noises while driving?

fan

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. No i havn't heard anything while driving...before i got my clutch fan fixed ( it was squealing due to bad bearings) but after that i didn't hear anythign until the electric fan actually went bad. And i'm pretty sure the bolts were in correctly. could be wrong though.

Haha

Yea, so we had the fan fixed from Nissan...they f'ing charged us an arm and a leg...we'll see if they're fix will last...haha

Though i'm no longer keeping the car...if anyone in the NJ tri state area wants a 1993 Nissan 240 SX for a decent price...let me know. i on the other hand look like i'm going back to my original drug...V-tec...sry to disappoint if i have... :-P but i will miss the rear wheel drive for sure.

Thanks for all of your help.

haha.

Yea no dude i love the 240...i'm gunna miss it alot...i just needed a new car...sadly the 240 was dieing on my hardcore. I used to have a 95 Integra GSR and trust me...i know exactly what V-tec does...( i've read up on it) its nothing against the 240 or Nissan. but i fell in love with the high revving i RPM GSR...and the RSX Type-S is just even better...if they made it in Rear Wheel drive...i'de need nothing else...except maybe a Beej every once in a while.

Plus i looked for another 240, couldn't find one, and i need a car asap. so i can get back home in FL for school.
