I know Super Street had an issue that had an S14 with a 700hp SR20DET in it. I would like to know the records for horsepower on standard displacement (2.0 liter) and for stroked (2.2,2.35 liter).

Redline is at 19,000 RPM... Shoots Flames from the intake its super top end type motor... uses jet engine fuel...was built by the smallest japanese guy possible, he smoked lucky strike ciggerates and wore a cowboy hat...They called him The Red Sun Devil.

Highest ive seen is around 1300 hp on a fully built dry sumped motor.

I have no idea, but I doubt it would be much above the 400 range for a completely stock block (rings and rods etc).

600whp is the record for stock bottom end SR20.

they'll do 450 unopened pretty easily.

Wow... Didn't think it would be that high. 400 was conservative, but the highest I would have bet on was 500.

Enjuku easily surpassed those. There isn't really a limit that people care to explore. It's not worth it for most people to explore the limits when rebuilding anything this side of a 2JZ or an RB26 in the import world is so dirt cheap.

dont get butt hurt.... over how were treating ur thread when u come across numerous pipe dream post.... it just gets irritating constantly repeating.... just build your motor.. and be happy with what u get... or copy someone else's setup and get the same amount... having the most HP possible isnt anything when u cant transfer the power to the wheel to the pavement...

Max HP for what? Make the car absolutely worthless? Big turbo, big lag, how much fun would it be to drive a car that dont spool up till 8k rpm...

Not sure what the stock block record is but iirc, like stated, Enjuku broke about 630whp on stock bottom end about 3-4 yrs ago.

yeah I've searched before posting on here, but I know there are others with more knowledge about the max horsepower an SR20 will put out, so I just wanted to gain some info from others. If you criticized every person on here that asked a question they could have found the answer for elsewhere, you wouldn't have enough time to do it. It doesn't better anybody.

I appreciate those who actually gave links or info on the max hp they have heard an SR20 will reach.
